Black velvet.

Bella narrowed her eyes on the material as if it were laced with poison.

"Bella, don't look so serious. It's only a dress."

The girl scoffed. "You call that a dress? Alice it won't even cover half of me let alone most of me."

Her sister-in-law gave a tinkle of laughter. "But that is the whole point. Besides, Edward would be the only one to see it."

If she could have blushed, no doubt Bella would have been flushing redder than a tomato.

"Alice!" She hissed, already feeling embarrassed.

Narrowing her eyes on her, Alice snatched up the laced velvet teddy and shoved it into Bella's carryon. "You will thank me later, when the two of you find Alaska to be boring."

Lips pursing, Bella debated in the bathroom whether or not to invest in Alice's outfit choice while Edward busily went through a stack of DVDs they'd brought with them. At the sight of them sitting in the bag, Emmett laughed while Rosalie just gaped. Alice nearly broke every last one if Edward hadn't swooped in to save them.

Okay, so their second honeymoon shouldn't be spent watching movies. Bella closed her eyes, taking in a moment before making her decision just as the sound of Pride and Prejudice cued on the television.

Slipping the material over her body, she took a deep breath and stepped out to find her husband already looking her way. His mouth came slightly open as if in astonishment.

"You look…" He didn't get to finish his statement. For the next several hours, they spent it in the bed, the movie long forgotten. Skin touching skin, breath mingling together, limbs entwining, becoming one as time slipped away.

Bella had to remember to thank her sister-in-law. Because Alice truly did know best.
