Yes, I know, another clichéd Jily. Get over it.

"You!" A sour voice spat. James grinned, instantly recognising the voice, and turned around.

"Good morning, Evans," he said. "And how are you this bright and sunny Saturday?"

"Leave Severus alone or I swear I will hex you into December!"

"I like December," he answered thoughtfully. "It means snow and presents."

She glared at him. Her fiery red hair seemed even brighter in the rare sunshine, and her emerald eyes glistened with anger.

He smirked again and started to leave, but she stepped in front of him.

He sighed, but couldn't hold back his grin. "Lil, they're going to leave without us."

"Don't call me Lil!" she growled. "And what do I care if you miss out on a precious Hogsmeade visit? All you do is eat sweets and drink too much Butterbeer and pull stupid pranks with those stupid friends of yours!"

His eyes hardened and his grin fell away. "My friends are not stupid," he hissed.

She glared up at him, not at all intimidated. "Yes they are," she answered. "Almost as stupid as you. Why can't you leave Sev alone? Why do you always pick on him?"

James sighed loudly and overdramatically. "Come on, Evans! It's so obvious that he's in love with you! Honestly, woman; wake up!"

She stared at him. "That's no reason to-"

She was cut off by his lips crashing into hers. She felt his fingers bury themselves in his hair and somehow couldn't find the will to push him away. Instead, she let him pull her closer and rested her hands on his chest.

They broke apart, and she looked away, blushing. He looked at her and chuckled softly. "Looks like they left without us," he whispered, and she looked to that everyone had indeed disappeared. "I'm going to go," he said. "Care to walk with me there?"

She smiled, nodded and slipped her hand into his as they walked together into Hogsmeade.
