Suppressed Love

Summary: Draco Malfoy and Hermione Granger fell in love in their fifth year. But with all the turmoil (Voldemort) around them, they were forced to break apart. But now, times have changed. They are on their seventh year, they are Head Boy and Head Girl and they have to share s common room. Without all the chaos two years ago, will they still be able to suppress their love or will they give in to such strong feelings?

Prologue

Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger were walking towards Potions class when Draco Malfoy suddenly bumped into Hermione Granger.

"Watch where you're going, ferret!" Harry shouted as Hermione fell down.

"Yeah, right, Potter. Do you think I would bump into a mudblood on purpose? I wouldn't want filth on my robes", Draco drawled while Harry and Ron helped Hermione stand up. As Hermione stood up, Draco slipped a note into her robes.

"You stupid...", Ron started to shout but stopped when he saw Snape walk towards them.

"What are you still doing here? Class is about to start. Get in!" Snape barked. The four of them hurried inside the classroom. As the class started, Hermione took out Draco's note and read it.

Hermione,

Meet me at the Astronomy Tower after dinner.

Hermione smiled, knowing that the incident before class was all just an act.

After dinner

Hermione rushed to the Astronomy tower after dinner. When she arrived, she saw that Draco was already there, standing with his back to her.

"Draco..." Hermione called out. Draco turned around to face her and smiled. "She's so beautiful", Draco thought upon seeing Hermione smile.

"Hi", Draco said. "Sorry about earlier. You know it was an act."

"That's okay", Hermione replied. "How are you".

"Fine. I just missed you so much", Draco said, taking her in his arms.

"I missed you, too", Hermione replied, twining her hand around Draco's neck. Draco slowly lowered his face and kissed her passionately. Hermione kissed him back passionately. After a few seconds, they broke apart...

"We need to talk", Draco said seriously. Hermione looked at him with sad eyes and replied, "I know."

"Father knows about us. I don't know what to say to him anymore", Draco said slowly.

"Harry and Ron are getting suspicious", Hermione replied in a sad tone. "Maybe we should just stop this. It's just not the right time. Your father would kill us if he found out. And Harry and Ron would be furious."

"I know. I don't know what to do without you, but I don't want Lucius to hurt you", Draco said desperately.

"So, is this the end?" Hermione asked.

"I guess... Maybe everything will be okay in the future. I don't know... But always remember that I will love you always, Hermione", Draco said, with all the love in his heart.

"I love you, too", Hermione said. "I won't forget about us. Ever..." Tears were starting to fall from Hermione's eyes.

"I love you, Hermione Granger", Draco said, tears also falling from his eyes. He took Hermione into his arms again and kissed her for the last time. The kiss was bittersweet mingling with their tears. They broke apart and Hermione started to walk away and stopped by the door.

"Goodbye, Draco Malfoy", Hermione said. She walked out the door without looking back. She ran with tears in her eyes. She stopped at a deserted hallway and slid down the wall, sobbing and feeling the pain of losing Draco.

Draco watched her run away. He closed his eyes and whispered, "Goodbye, Hermione". He felt the pain of losing her and just placed his face on his hands and sobbed until there were no more tears left in them.
