Because I enjoy writing one shots of champions getting up to strange activities.

The times that Brand was allowed freedom were few and far in between. The Fire of Vengeance, deemed too dangerous for normal privileges spent most of his days trapped in a series of constructs and shackles divined by the most powerful summoners in the land.

Legends of the Rune Wars tell of a nameless and restless fire sweeping across nations, leaving scorched bodies and dead land in its wake. The fire was only barely contained in a prison cell deep in the Lokfar.

However, Brand was patient, in a strange juxtaposition to his fiery origin, and his patience was rewarded when a sailor by the name of Khegan had the misfortune of discovering the icy prison. Brand exhumed the soul of Khegan and placed himself into the corpse.

However, Brand was weak from years of imprisonment, so he was subdued, and placed deep in the dungeons of the Institute of War, only allowed out during matches or under intense supervision.

So it naturally ruffled many feathers when Brand went missing.

"Useless Summoners." Darius grumbled as he searched the surrounding forest. The institute had tasked every champion with joining summoners in the search. However, as some champions were deemed incapable of watching themselves, a buddy system was called upon.

About five feet to his left, and many feet up, the Dark Child giddily rode atop the shadow bear so aptly named Tibbers. Annie had been in nonstop conversation with the bear, who would give short grunts or growls in reply, for the past hour. To say Darius was vexed would be an understatement.

"What number am I thinking of?" Annie asked, the bear grunted, and Annie laughed raucously. "No Silly! 37! Pie isn't even a number!" Annie giggled and nearly fell off while Darius swore he saw the bear roll its eyes.

Darius sighed in annoyance while Annie continued playing games with Tibbers, then a light in the distance caught his eye.

"Stop!" Darius softly ordered, the bear came to a complete stop while Annie have Darius a pout, since he interrupted her game.

"Do you see it?" Darius pointed an armored finger towards the light, which was almost certainly the light of a fire.

Annie nodded. "It's Fire Guy!" She said excitedly, while Darius nodded and began to slowly creep forward, Annie put a finger to her lips and sushed Tibbers, while a fireball manifested in her other hand.

The trio slowly inched towards the light of the fire, careful not to make any noise. Annie however did not help matters when she sneezed loudly, though the fire seemed undisturbed.

Bursting into the clear in Darius raised his axe and Tibbers roared! In his best voice of command, Darius bellowed. "STAND DOWN BRAND! YOU ARE TO RETURN TO YOUR CELL!"

The excitement quickly drained away and Annie giggled, it was just a campfire with logs of various sizes surrounding it. A bag of what looked to be white sweets, brown crackers, and some dark substance sat neatly on top of one log.

"Ah! You decided to join me after all." A raspy voice sounded to their left, Darius yelled loudly and raised his axe to find Brand, carrying a pile of branches, with a pleasant smile on his face.

Annie laughed and Tibbers groaned while Darius eyed the Fire God warily. Brand was unperturbed as he hummed and sat down on a log next to the ingredients of food, he dumped the sticks, which looked like they were charred into sharp, clean points, at his feet.

Annie clapped her hands and began to ramble to Tibbers while Darius watched dumbly as Brand prepared a famous Noxian delicacy that consisted of crackers, chocolate, and marshmallows. Brand patted opened his arms invitingly.

When they were later found, the four were all toasting marshmallows, devouring s'mores, and having a merry time.
