This is a poem about characters who are put on a bus in the anime. It is open for interpretation. I was having Misty and May in mind when writing it. You can relate it to Misty, May, Dawn, Brock or any released pokemon of Ash of you like. They are all kicked out of the cast when a new generation comes out, to make way for the new characters. It seems unfair to me. All these characters have interesting plots, personalities, back stories and character development of their own. But when they are no longer in the show, the viewers, especially the younger ones, will eventually forget how amazing they are.

By the way, just in case someone who is not familiar with fandom terminology, 'put on a bus' means a character is written out of a series in such a way that they can easily be returned later, if the producers so choose. A 'long bus trip' is when a character is 'put on a bus' in such a way that arranging a return would be simple, but then the character never actually comes back.

Long bus trip, gazing out, lost in sight,

Back to home where all things start.

Leave the journey before it ends,

To my own Gym to do a leader's part.

My adventure out in the sun,

To master the art of water Pokemon—

That is the thing I once called dream,

But leave it unfinished, alone, forlorn.

Spotlight no longer there,

Fame and fans has long left me,

They forget me, and me them;

My lonely ship sailing at the sea.

To make way for the new, but how?

I am put on a long bus trip now.
