Saws, syringes and other gruesome tools protruded from a pod above Aaron's head. As the first syringe drew closer to his scarred chest, Aaron Jenkins remindes himself of how he had got there.
"Free Upgrade", read the sign outside the phone shop. However, the shop was deathly silent. But Aaron wasn't worried about that. This upgrade seemed too good to be true, so he strolled over to the shop and leant on the counter. As soon as his elbow touched the wood, a metal door swung open, and out stepped a robot: a Cyberman. At first Aaron was taken aback, but quickly recovered his senses and boldly said, "I'm here for the upgrade." The Cyberman glanced up at Aaron's ear. He was wearing an EarPod, a Bluetooth-like device made by Cybus Industries, those who, coincidentally, designed the very robot standing before him. But then Aaron stopped to think. When he had applied for an EarPod, he had been taken to a chamber and had implants surgically added into his brain. However, they hadn't used any anesthetics, making the process unbearably painful. Would this be the same? He doubted it. Aaron confidentally followed the Cyberman through the metal door, and into a chamber not unlike the one used for the installation of his EarPod. Before he had time to think, he was strapped down onto a table and left to discover his fate...
The needle edged closer. Aaron braced himself, as the chemicals leaked into his body. A knife descended and opened up his forehead. His brain was removed and placed into a vat of green substance. A saw removed his arms and legs, which were then replaced by steel prosthetics. A life support system was placed in his chest, before a chestplate covered the scars beneath. His brain was put back into its place, enhanced with the entire knowledge of the Cyberman army. Finally, a head unit encased the last remaining part of Aaron that was human. A warrior of steel was born.
