There was nothing special with making a pumpkin pie. But when agent Fox Mulder starts adding the different sugarly items into it. You will have your dessert of the day and most of the evening. Depending on how many pieces of the pie your able to chow down without having to go into a diabetic shock from too much sugars.
And having to be watching one of the cooking shows on the cable. For where Mulder and even Dana Scully were able to come up with the recipe.
Especially when some one is basically bored with the same old talk, news and movie stations. Fox Mulder was bored out of his mind this evening.
While his wife was upset resting. Just after being told by her doctor to stay in bed for a few days.
He'd deem it necessary after suffering with false labor a few times. She would of through having the recent dessert made by her husband. Surely would of placed her into contractions to have the baby and just get it over with finally.
But no dice.
She was able to say to herself trying to get a better comfortable position into the queen-size bed. She's been really uncomfortable for weeks now. Even A.D. Skinner had made a comment only this past week. For when Dana Scully had come to his office for a briefing.
He'd kept staring at her. Even though she was going to have a baby. She still had gain a great deal of weight during the past few weeks. No doubt for all of the sweets and desserts. She's been having at the hands of her husband being the culprit.
And while she was talking with Skinner. She'd offer to give him some of the cookies and even a piece of pumpkin pie delight to take on home to his lonely apartment.
He was able to turn her down on both. Since his own weight was going up a little. Mostly having to be sitting too many hours behind the desk with his paper work.
He was hopeful in the next few weeks. On whether he's going to be out in the field more often, instead of always being stuck behind his desk with briefings.
Once Scully was able to stand in front of him. She was able to check-in with her husband before going on home. Otherwise she was able to leave before chuckling at his comments in regard to her weight.
At this point...
It was mostly the formality for now. Since it's going to be soon with the delivering of the baby.
Now that she's been ordered to stay in bed. She would be able to enjoy the pumpkin pie delight, while sitting up in bed with the whip-cream topping to make it only more yummy.
