Jackson and Greta are my original characters, but I don't own CSI.

New episode of MacGyver tonight, so new story with Jackson, Greta and their Uncle Nicky!

Since Greta's starting to talk more, I wondered what might happen if she tried to say Uncle Nicky. And here's what I came up with. Hope you enjoy...and pretty please review!

Jackson and Greta loved spending time with all their CSI family, but Jackson and Nick were especially good pals. Nick loved to play football with Jackson and the two could read and talk about science for hours. And Nick adored Jackson's baby sister Greta. So when Greg and Morgan needed a babysitter one afternoon while they were finishing up a case, Nick happily agreed.

Greta happily played with Nick and Jackson as they played fetch with Nick's dog Sam. Jackson told his sister to be very gentle with Sam. "He's a good dog," he told her. "He likes to play fetch! You wanna try?" Jackson handed a tennis ball to his sister and Greta examined it, wondering what she was supposed to do with it. Finally, she dropped it on the floor. Sam picked it up and gave it back to Jackson and Greta. "Good job, Sam!" Jackson said as he patted the dog's head. "And Greta, you did good, too!"

Nick lifted the smiling baby girl into his arms and she gave a delighted squeal when he held her up in the air. "I think she's going to like playing fetch with Sam, big guy. What do you think?"

"Yeah!"

The three sat down on Nick's couch and Jackson chatted with his sister about school and what she wanted for her birthday. Greta smiled at her brother and uncle.

"Uncle Nicky, I think she needs a baby doll," Jackson told his uncle as the CSI gave him some apple juice.

"You do, huh?"

Jackson nodded. "Yeah. I think she'd like that."

Nick smiled at the children he adored. "That sounds like a good idea."

Greta whined and reached for Nick. Jackson smiled at his sister. "I think she wants you to hold her, Uncle Nicky."

"Yeah," Nick whispered with a warm smile. He lifted Greta onto his lap and smiled when the baby girl smiled up at him. "Hey, pretty girl," Nick whispered.

Jackson smiled. "She loves you, Uncle Nicky!"

"Aw," Nick said as he gently kissed Greta's forehead. "I love her, too. And I love you, too, big guy."

"I love you, Uncle Nicky!"

Greta patted Nick's chin and opened her mouth like she wanted to say something. Jackson smiled at his baby sister. "Greta, can you say 'Uncle Nicky'?"

"Can you say that?" Nick asked. "Say 'Uncle Nicky'."

Greta took a big breath, pointed to Nick and said, "Ah Icky!"

Nick couldn't help but laugh as Jackson giggled. "No, Greta," Jackson said with a laugh. "That's Uncle Nicky! He's not icky!"

"Icky!" Greta repeated. She smiled like she was quite proud of herself.

"Not 'Icky'," Jackson said. He looked at his sister and said, "Nicky."

Greta smiled at her brother and said, "Baba, Icky!"

Nick couldn't help but smile. "It's okay, big guy," he assured Jackson. "She'll get it."

"Icky!" Greta said as she pointed to Nick. Jackson just giggled.

"Not quite," Nick told her. "But you'll get it."

"At least she knows who you are, Uncle Nicky!" Jackson said with a giggle.

"Yeah," Nick said with a warm smile.

"Icky!" Greta said as she softly clapped her hands like she was very proud of herself.

Greg and Morgan arrived to see their son laughing at his uncle and sister. When Greg asked what was so funny, Jackson said, "She said 'icky'!"

Morgan and Greg tried unsuccessfully to hide their laughter as Greta patted Nick's cheek and said "Icky!"

"That's her way of saying 'Uncle Nicky'," Greg said.

"Yeah," Nick said with a warm smile. "She said it...sorta." He kissed the smiling baby girl's cheek, and she put her lips to his cheek like she was giving him a kiss. "Aw," Nick said.

"Greta loves you, Uncle Nicky!" Jackson said.

"Aw," Nick said with a warm smile at the children he loved. "I love you guys too."

The End
