Just rewatching MyMusic and this came into my brain. Not my best, but you know, just needed to get it out.

They weren't dating, exactly. They, neither of them, knew exactly what they were doing. Well, they did, and it wasn't dating. They just…

Kissed a lot. Like a lot. More than Flowchart had ever kissed anyone in his life.

When he had kissed Scene he knew at a basic level what he was doing, not that he had been kissed a lot. Well he had. But not the nice way. A lot of girls, and boys, had lost a lot of bets in middle school. And some of them had given him tips on how to get a little better. So he had actually a fair amount of confidence in his abilities when he kissed Scene.

But he had never liked it before. And feeling Scene's lips on his was almost more than he could handle. More exciting than paint drying, shining spoons, or cutting coupons. Flowchart had always had a good amount of control, he never did things in excess, but Scene was addictive.

So they would plan things: go to dinner, watch a movie, but inevitably they would end up making out in the back of Flowchart's car. And nothing further, he wouldn't ever ask her to go that far. But sometimes he would feel something in his gut and he'd have to break away, panting.

"Floooowchart? Are...I mean...is this all okay with you? Because, for me it's like totes amazeballs but you seem kinda confused," Scene rambled, looking at him through heavily lined eyes.

"No, Scene, it's good. I swear," he took a deep breath, "I just don't totally know if this is the right thing to do. I mean we're really not dating and you were so invested in your last relationship, I just think maybe I should be careful."

"Flow, I don't want another Jeff," Scene took a deep breath and made some strange noises, "I...like this. This is nice. You are good at this."

Flowchart let out a sharp laugh, "you just think that because I'm the second person you've kissed. Trust me, I'm not great at this."

She reached over and took his hand, "it doesn't matter. I swear, this is good."

And so he kissed her again. Because he's just a little addicted and she's just a little closer than she was before and the dark car made him feel a little more daring. But he broke away,

"Are you sure you don't want to try actually dating? My god Scene, I do like you. Not just your mouth, though, ehem," Scene giggled, but said nothing, "We're just kissing every minute and I don't know if I can take this much excitement all the time. I like minimal excitement."

"I like ALL THE EXCITEMENT. But that's why this is so awesomesauce, because you don't like invader Zim and I don't like bologna but this is totes perfecto."

And so they kissed again. Because he was a little too excited and a little in love but too little for more. And it probably wouldn't be this good for much longer, but this was good. This was better than flowcharts and she was absolutely amazeballs. Maybe they weren't right for each other, but this was right for them.
