This is my entry for the song contest... This is also my first ever story I've written so please let me know what you think... I don't mind constructive criticism...

I've Had The Time Of My Life…

Eric looked into Sookie's eyes and said "Are you sure my love, once it is done it can't be undone".

Sookie replies to Eric, "Eric, I've thought about this heavily the last couple of months and I've decided that if something happened to you that I don't know what I'd do but I'd know my life would be meaningless without you. I don't know if I'd be able to live without you and honestly these weeks alone I have been miserable without you. It hurts so much to think of you not in my life and not in this world alive well as alive as you can be. I can't help but think that if I live my natural human life I will grow old and die in what 40 maybe 50 years it would be not only selfish of me but cruel to you as well. I can't expect you to go through the grief of my death when I can't even fathom surviving your death. So, I choose us Eric to live and love you for eternity so long as you will have me?"

Eric looks away from Sookie's eyes because he is becoming undone. The emotions he is feeling are relief, pride, joy, love, lust, and happiness. Eric begins to speak but is choked up by Sookie's gift to him. A single blood tear falls from his left eye and Sookie can't resist the urge to swipe the tear with her thumb and pop it in her mouth, she moans from the taste of his blood. Eric crushes her body to his and kisses her lips feverishly. Eric replies, "Of course my love, I will have you today, tomorrow, and till eternity. You have made me the happiest Vampire in the world. In the time I've spent in this world, our time has been the most fantastic time of my entire existence and without you I would have met the sun but now we will have forever. Tomorrow, we will plan your transformation but tonight we will make love until dawn and enjoy thoughts of our future together. "I love you my lover"

Sookie wakes up in the morning thinking she had such a vivid dreams last night about Eric. She hasn't seen Eric since the DeCastro takeover, 2 months ago. However, she can't shake the feeling that the dream was real, so she decides to think about it later since her human needs are calling. She runs to the bathroom and takes care of herself and showers. She goes into the kitchen to start the coffee and notices a note with elegant script addressed to her. She recognizes the handwriting instantly and her heart begins to ache and she thinks about the dream she had the night before and how it felt so real, she can't help but wonder if the events that took place in her dream with Eric really happened. She opens the note and it reads:

I know we have a lot to discuss but I want you to know that I've missed you these past couple of months and I never want to go a day without you again. My lover, I've had the time of my life and I've never felt this way before Sookie Stackhouse. Meet me in you old room at sundown we have a future to plan.

Sookie held the note to her heart and shed a few tears and for the first time since her Gran died she felt like she belonged. Sookie realized her dream was a premonition of what is to come. She never wanted to be turned but after the dream she had last night how can she put Eric through all that grief when she can't survive without him. Sookie realized it was time to grow up and become the woman her Gran raised her to be and accept the fact living is living whether or not it is in the sun or under the moon and the stars. She decided that whether the dream was real or not she would make it their reality. She would wait for Eric to rise and begin their forever.
