Life can really suck sometimes. But then, things happen that make life suck a little less. No one ever told me that my life would be easy, and believe me, it's not. No one ever told me life would make sense either, and it really never did. But, this is a little ridiculous. I mean, time travel? Seriously!

A/N: Hey guys! Welcome to my new story! Okay, so this is an edited version of a project that I'm writing for school, so I have no idea when the chapters are going to be out. About my other story, I've been trying so hard but I have NO idea where to go with that. I basically made my OC way to perfect and Mary-Sue like for it to be good. That's a major thing that I'm trying to avoid in this, so hopefully this will be better. I'm open to suggestions about where you want this to go.

Prologue

Hi, my name is Mate- I mean, Mathe- well, I guess… Let me start from the beginning.

My name is Matelin. No last name. Yes, that's right Mat-a-lin. I know, it's not a real name, I think it's dumb.

But, that's what happens when you get left at an orphanage without a name. Yeah, I got abandoned at an orphanage when I was born… can you get a more stereotypical sad backstory than that? I'm literally Annie, minus all the hope for being saved and the singing and dancing talent and the friends and such.

Anyways, I was lying on my back on my bed feeling sorry for myself. Like usual... I hate my life, I hate everything! I was born in the wrong time, in the wrong place! Nothing interesting ever happens to me, nothing! I wish something would happen! Anything at all! I don't care, just something!

Well, I guess, be careful what you wish for...
