Why does it bother you so much?
Miranda is collecting wood for the fire, on Miranda and Stevie's girly weekend away. The rain has stopped by morning. Miranda is becoming more and more worried about her relationship with Gary.
Miranda: (Running towards the tent)Stevie, Stevie, Stevie, Stevie, Stevie!
(Stevie looks up)
Stevie: What is it my massive friend?
Miranda: Rude. Youre tiny! I can get on all of the rides in thorpe park! But not you! Youre an elf. A munchkin. A... GETTING AWAY FROM THE POINT! (Beat) He hasn't said I love you.
Stevie: I'm sure he has! He must have! That night when he stayed over, didn't you two...(cut off by Miranda)
Miranda:Yes we did. He's said everything I've wanted to hear, but not I love you.
Stevie: Why does this bother you so much anyway?
Miranda: (beat) When Gary stopped me from going to wick (looks to the camera) it wasn't very difficult was it now? I was on the wrong train! (Back to Stevie) he said that he was wrong to not let me go, but he couldn't because it was always me and him from the start.
Stevie: So?
Miranda: We were at the restaurant and when the thought of telling everyone, was obviously too much, and he froze.
Stevie: Could you hurry this up at all? My neck aches from having to look up.
Miranda: Shush please! Anyway, he wasn't sure that he could meet my needs.
Stevie: What did you say to this?
Miranda: Well I was always told, and I do trust that if someone says I love you, even if just like the way we say it, flippantly, (beat) then that's all they really need. I never gave that to Mike.
Stevie: What has Mike got to do with this. And hurry up! My neck aches from having to look up at you!
Miranda: (tears welling in her eyes) Could Gary have the same problem with me?
Stevie: No he doesn't! You know how he was with Rose! He wasn't interested!
Miranda: I still need to hear it. You've said it to me. (Tears demanding to spill over her cheek)
Stevie: Well you've got me. Love oo!
Miranda: Love oo!
(They hug, Miranda sobbing into Stevie's shoulder)
Back to the flat, where Gary and Charlie are getting the suits ready for the wedding. Miranda and Stevie walk in.
Gary: Hi! I've missed you! (Kissing Miranda on the lips) Come over here. Umm...can we have a bit of space please?
(Mumbling from Penny, Tilly, Charlie and walk to the kitchen)
Gary pulls out a ring from his pocket. Silence follows.
Miranda: Aren't you going to say anything?
Gary:(confused) Here we go! (Goes in for a kiss)
Miranda:(puts hands on chest stooping Gary from getting any closer.)
Gary:(shocked) What?
Miranda: I'm just not sure I can wear this until...
(The others gasp. Miranda and Gary stare at them. They leave the flat)
Miranda: Its just I'm never quite sure you love me.
Gary: I knew it. You don't trust me.
Miranda:No, what? I do...I do trust you.
Gary: No you don't. You don't trust that I love you.
Miranda: You've never actually said it to me.(starting to cry)
Gary: Yeah, well what about actions speaking louder than words Miranda?
The argument carries on as it did in the first finale episode of the sitcom. Gary has left with the ring left on the is sat on the sofa crying.
To be continued...
