Suguro, accompanied by Okumara, arrived at their destination. It was a total massacre. Demons, high and low class, were rampant, killing all in their path. Each and every victim were ripped apart, so the demons could lap at their blood. So much blood was spilled the sky was painted red. Not only that but more and more demons were spawning and the only exorcists in sight were Suguro and Okumara.
'What the hell, did they send us on a death sentence? There is no way that me and... and that disgusting piece of shit can handle this many demons at once. Speaking of...' Suguro looked over his shoulder at Okumara. He was nowhere to be found. Alarmed Suguro's eyes scanned his surroundings. Okumara was already fighting and seemed to have no trouble with any demon. 'Incredible, he can do that, and all I can do is sit back and chant... But he uses the power of Satan! I don't need to rely on something so monstrous. In fact, I bet I can kill Okumara by myself... That way I am one step closer to defeating Satan! But, Okumara is still-'
Suguro's thoughts were interrupted by a demon that lunged at him. The demon looked much like a human save for the fact he had long sharp talons, horns and a long and fluffy tail. 'He nearly lopped by head off with those claws! Okay, he looks like a humanoid type of demon...' The demon once again lunged. Suguro started chanting as he tried to kite the demon around.
Suguro kept chanting. He was around halfway done when he really noticed that the demon seemed to tire. 'It's working!' Suguro glanced at Okumara... Who was killing dozens of demons every minute, but he seemed to be heavily panting. 'Damn, I can only handle a demon at a time and he can brush off dozens of them like nothing! Fuck him, but it seems that even he can get tired.'
Nearing the end of the demon's final verse, the demon lost all strength to move and kneeled down. 'Finally!' And since Suguro wanted to be dramatic he screamed the last few words. The demon closed it's eyes peacefully and disappeared. 'What a boring dea-' Suguro's thought's were interrupted once again, this time with a very human scream.
The rest of the demons seemed to back away from a body. The body turned out to be a screaming, writhing Okumara. He looked perfectly fine, there were no wounds, save for the fact that he was seemed to be in horrible pain. His eyes were wide open, streaming out a gush of tears. Then he stopped, his body seemed to be frozen. For a moment Suguro thought that it was over, but no. Blue flames burst from his skin, but for some reason it was burning him alive. Okumara slowly died to the blue flames, his ashes swiftly swept away by a strong gust of wind.
'Was that... me? Was the Fatal Verse I used... Okumara's Fatal Verse? He's dead. I killed him. Accidentally I guess. But it was me who shouted out his fatal verse! But... did he deserve to die? Or was it good that his own blue flames burnt him into a slow, painful death? Actually... Yes, yes it was! He was the son of Satan, Satan! I should celebrate his death! There is no one who actually cared for him, and I saw in Okumara's eyes that he knew that! He was probably going to save us all the trouble and kill himself!' Suguro looked at the bloody red sky and laughed, laughed because he was so happy. Happy that Okumara was dead. In fact, so happy that he didn't notice the wave of demons that were all hungry for his blood.
