Oh brother I can't, I can't get through
I've been trying hard to reach you 'cause I don't know what to do
Oh brother I can't believe it's true
I'm so scared about the future and I wanna talk to you
Oh I wanna talk to you

Rose stood in the doorway to the Doctor's bedroom and stared at him sleeping. He had recently regenerated and it had taken the strength out of him. But Rose needed to talk to him or else neither them, nor the TARDIS would be able to relax. The Doctor's eyes flickered open.

"What's wrong Rose?" He asked, almost as if he'd known she was there.

"I need to talk to you. I mean know that you're… you, do you still want me travelling with you?"

The Doctor sat up in bed and gestured for Rose to sit next to him.

"Of course I still want you travelling with me. But if you'd prefer to go home…"

"No!" Rose said immediately. "I want to stay!"

You can take a picture of something you see
In the future where will I be?
You can climb a ladder up to the sun
Or write a song nobody has sung or do
Something that's never been done

She'd seen the whole universe but was still unsure about this new Doctor who, on the inside, was still her old Doctor.

Are you lost or incomplete?
Do you feel like a puzzle, you can't find your missing piece?
Tell me how do you feel?
Well I feel like they're talking in a language I don't speak
And they're talking it to me

It was like a part of her soul had been destroyed and now she didn't know what to do. She felt so lost and lone in the whole universe even though her own Doctor was still there, even if it was in a different form. Things confused her know. Like when she was helping the Doctor fly the TARDIS she'd get things wrong and muddled and when the aliens were talking to her she had to really concentrate to understand them. Almost as though everything was in a different language.

So you take a picture of something you see
In the future where will I be?
You can climb a ladder up to the sun
Or write a song nobody has sung or do
Something that's never been done, do
Something that's never been done

"So why do I feel like I'm incomplete?" Rose asked shuffling closer to the new Doctor. She didn't want to seem needy but at the same time didn't want to push him away.

"It'll take time to adjust. As it does with anything new." The Doctor replied linking his hand through hers. Somehow it seemed a little less strange each time she held it. "You'll probably find it easier to adjust yourself when the TARDIS has."

So you don't know where you're going and you wanna talk
And you feel like you're going where you've been before
You tell anyone who'll listen but you feel ignored
Nothing's really making any sense at all, let's talk
Let's talk, let's talk, let's talk

Rose nodded understanding now. She got up to leave but when she reached the doorway she looked back.

"If you ever want to talk Rose you know where to find me." The Doctor said smiling and somehow, it looked a little more like his old manic grin.
