I was fighting for breath.

"Get up!" Jacob shouted from above me.

My sports bra was sticking to my chest and my hair was stuck to my forehead and I was starting to get really pissed off.

I twisted my body so that I went to my knees then I kicked my foot out and caught Jacobs ankle which in turn made him fall on his ass.

Serves him right.

Faking that I was dying was the best way to get out of my lesson.

I hopped to my feet, picked up a bottle of water and walked towards the glass doors.

"You can't leave yet." Jacob huffed as he sat on the mat with his huge arms crossed.

I flipped him off and shoved the door open, "I can do what I want."

I walked through the open hallway and out to the backyard, I stripped and dove into the pool with just my sports bra and thong.

After my dad had almost been killed, my mother decided to move us farther out of the city. She saw this house and fell in love. She had a lot of things that she had brought her design team in to change but she still kept most of the original house intact but had added bulletproof windows and multiple safe rooms along with a 'poll barn'- if you could even call it that, the freaking thing was heated all year and had every tool a mechanic could ever need. She also expanded the house by eleven thousand feet. That was five years ago.

She still thinks that the house is too small.

Money can really change your way of thinking.

Especially when you have seen multiple loved ones die for it.

But I guess that is what happens when you are part of the Mafia.

A large shadow was blocking the sun.

I opened one eye just in time to see Jacob give my half naked body a once over.

Or twice over if you could call it that.

He must have noticed that I saw him staring because his brown eyes quickly moved to mine. He rubbed a large hand over his face and moved to sit on the lounger beside me. "Bella, you need to take this shit more seriously." He had a frustrated look on his face but his tone didn't match it. "Your father has a lot of enemies and you need to know how to protect yourself properly, he just wants to make sure that you are okay." He started fiddling with his black leather jacket that I knew had a gun hid somewhere under it.

All of my father's bodyguards were required to carry a gun at all times, including Jacob. He had become by bodyguard just over a year ago when things had gone south and Sam, my old bodyguard had been killed.

Emily, Sams wife, had fainted when I showed up to his house with the news... she was seven months pregnant.

Jacob sure worried about me a lot, this wasn't the first time that he showed concern for me and I bet that it wouldn't be the last either.

I knew that I needed to know how to protect myself and I didn't need anyone to tell me what to do either even if it was just to protect me.

I said nothing.

I knew that he told my dad about my every move and not saying anything was the best way to make him mad.

I had given up on caring about what my father had said long ago.

I threw on my clothes and went inside, I needed to get away. I knew that my father had been listening to our entire conversation and I couldn't stand that he treated me like a child.

I hated everything he did.

I hated him.

I could never forgive him for his sins.

Even the devil wouldn't take him.
