'Hello, Burt Hummel speaking.'

'Hi, Dad. It's just me.'

'Hey kid! How're you doing? How's LA?'

'Good and great. I finally got a internship. At Tommy Curic.'

'...Right. Um, that's good?'

'Yeah, Dad.'

'How's Daniel? And Puckerman?'

'When will you start calling him Noah? It's been six years, Dad!'

'Sorry, kid.'

'They're both good. Daniel's starting to walk.'

'It's awesome, isn't it?'

'Yeah, it really is.'

'Anyway, that's what I was calling about. I was wondering if it's okay for us to come home for his birthday. Maybe come on the Monday before and stay for a few days. Noah and I were thinking of catching up with some kids from school, and we thought you'd like to see Dan, so-'

'Definitely. I'd love that.'

'We can stay there?'

'If you don't mind the basement.'

'Thanks, Dad.'

'So, how are Carol and Finn?'

'Good. Real good. Finn's got himself a girlfriend.'

'Hey! Who're you talking to?'

'Kurt.'

'Oh, okay. Hey, big brother!'

'Hey, Finn.'

'Anyway, she's kind of ditz, if you ask me.'

'Don't.'

'Fine. And Carol's good, you know-'

'Hang on a second. Put it down, Daniel, come on. Noah! Thanks.'

'Sorry, Dad.'

'You decided on his name yet?'

'Hummel. Puck insisted. He chose the first name, so we decided I got the last name.'

'Daniel. Hmm.'

'Yeah, did I tell you he wanted Jack at first. I said no.'

'What's Pu - Noah doing now?'

'Well, his band just got a contract. They're planning on releasing a EP later this year.'

'Oh. Cool.'

'Don't be like that. Sure, we can't support ourselves on it, but as a part-time job, it works, and he loves it.'

'Okay, Kurt. Sorry.'

'Hey, Burt.'

'Noah.'

'Mercedes said she'd drop in on you. She came?'

'Yeah, she left again yesterday. It was really great to see her.'

'Yeah...'

'Dad, I've got to go. Work stuff. I'll see you in a few weeks, okay?'

'Sure thing, kid.'

'Love you, Dad.'

'Love you too, Kurt.'
