A/N: Yet another tiny little drabble request someone made in the KH yaoi community: "Sora/Riku, R, don't you know I would move heaven and earth to be together forever for you?" Failure on the rating; so sue me. The give me a place to stand quote that Sora says is from Archimedes, slightly modified, 'cause I am a dork. Review if you're inclined; it's fun.
Stand
Before the darkness came they had boundaries they didn't ever cross. It didn't matter that they grew up together, that their names slurred together: Sora-and-Riku, Riku-and-Sora, never one without the other. They had set rules that were unspoken, a code that said they'd never stray into each other's territory.
Now that they're older they realize how incredibly ridiculous all of that was. They've both been through the dark, both found their ways out, and here, on this beach, at the end of the world, they have nothing but each other.
It's turned out to be more than enough when they snake together, long limbs and beating hearts, stripped of everything, bare before each other. They break away only to breathe, taking in gulps of large air before falling back in with each other, a place without borders or rules or anything imposing or frowning upon them.
Sora's
hand always takes hold of Riku's afterwards, his short tan fingers
curling up in Riku's own, long and pale. He's content not to
dream of home anymore, content just to dream of here, of Riku,
forever. And Riku's content to dream of the same thing, to have
their needs be in the same place.
But still, Riku wonders, and asks one day: Don't you know I would move heaven and earth to be together forever with you?
Sora smiles brightly, grants him a kiss, gentle and warm and deep and far too short for either of their liking. And then, Sora replies:
Give me a place to stand, and I'll move the earth and heaven for you, too.
