Lingering Pain

By: Hannah-chii

An irritated blond was seated by the window as his jade eyes watched the two kings in the garden. His face showed anger, annoyance and -as much as he hated to admit- jealousy, as he watched Yuuri and Saralegui having fun with the fragrant flowers.

"Why the hell is Yuuri with that Damn Saralegui again?!" Wolfram asked his brother who was sitting across the room. Conrad looked very amused as he watched his cute little brother become jealous. He looks so cute when he's like this. Conrad thought as he chuckled lightly at his little brother.

Wolfram heard this and became more annoyed. "Fine, you don't have to tell me. I really don't care what's going on between them. It's none- emphasizing the word none- of my business anyway.

"Well, if it's "none" of your business, why do you seem so jealous?" Conrad slowly wore his knowing smile as he watched Wolfram with intent eyes.

"Arghhhh! I AM NOT JEALOUS!!!!" Wolfram ran out of the room, doing his best to prevent the tears in his eyes from flowing. Damn, he doesn't want anyone to see him like this. Helpless, heartbroken and so…..weak.

It was all Yuuri's fault. If he…if he never came to Shin Makoku, Wolfram wouldn't have gotten used to the laughter, the happiness and love. He wouldn't have forgotten how it felt like to be sad and alone. He wouldn't have had to suffer like this again.

Wolfram stopped dead on his tracks. He couldn't believe his eyes. No, it was impossible. How could Yuuri do this to him? How could he move on so easily?! How could he touch Saralegui the way he never touched him before? How could he do all of this? How?

Wolfram felt the hot tears in his eyes flow down his face. He hid behind the wall and fell on his knees. His heart ached so much. It felt like it was being crumpled, torn and broken down into pieces. The pain was growing, growing and growing. It surrounded his heart, his whole being until he couldn't feel anything else but pain.

Wolfram mustered up all his remaining strength to get up and walked back to his room. There, he continued to weep quietly as the never-ending pain lingered in his heart.
