Link bolted out of the Twilight Realm building with the second Sol in his hands. That hand thing was too slow for him. The hero quickly mad his way to the centre of the palace, where the other Sol waited for it's sister.

On his way, he caught a glimpse of the ... creature that he had nearly attacked before Midna had stopped him. It was short, stocky, and had the bizarre head of the Shadow Beasts Link had seen.

Not that it mattered. It wasn't a threat.

Link gently placed the Sol in the pit next to it's sister. It immediately began to glow with a curious light.

Suddenly, that light, the Twilight light that had bathed the realm before Zant had taken over, burst out, covering all that Link could see of the realm. Almost at once, all the creatures that had surrounded the area turned into...

Link guessed they were Twili in their original forms. They looked for the most part like humans, but they seemed draped in shadow and disproportionate. They looked very unusual to the Light-born hero.

Link quickly noticed that there was a funny light coming from his sword. He held it up. Sure enough, there was a beautiful golden light coming from the sword.

"The Sols have channelled their energy into your sword, Link" Midna, her small form seemingly leaping out of Link's shadow, noted. "The guardian deities of my world are on our side too!"

Link didn't opt to ask who these deities were. Now, he could finally destroy the tyrant that had terrorized his world and ripped the Twilight realm from it's rightful hands. He somehow had no doubt that this light in his sword would be useful.

Link started off for the palace, the building he hadn't entered yet,
when he felt a small tug at the back of his tunic.

Link turned around.

A small Twili stood there. Link could instinctively tell this was a child, probably around Colin's age. His stubby form and small arms made the hero sense that this was the transformed Twili he had almost attacked.

The boy looked at the figure that had appeared in the realm with curiosity. He had never seen someone like Link before. This was a curious creature... and what was with that glowing sword he was holding?

He didn't seem dangerous...

Link couldn't help but be reminded of Colin by this Twili. His eyes (blank but not at all hollow) seemed to indicate that this child was like Colin had been...Shy, unassuming, innocent and kind.

Link smiled gently.

And the boy smiled right back.

Link saw a glimmer of hope in the child's eyes.

The Twili weakly pointed to the palace, somehow sensing what Link needed to do. He also opened his mouth to say something...

Link couldn't hear much more than what sounded like a faint sigh. But the intended message was clear.

Link nodded. Turning around, he ran to the palace, sword in hand.

The child watched him go.

Things were going to be all right.
