So I did this after making a graphic and this idea just sprouted from there. I know it's been a while since I posted anything, but I think I'm getting back in the game.
Summary:
Jesse and Beca are married and even ten years later they still talk about how they met and everything leading up to their getting together. Every anniversary, before they go to sleep they watch The Breakfast Club, with Beca falling asleep with her head on Jesse's chest before the end of the movie, but Jesse stays up until the end reliving their first kiss at nationals. As the ending credits roll and "Don't You (Forget About Me)" ends, every single time without fail, he kisses her forehead and closes his laptop.
"Mommy, how did you and Daddy meet again?"
"Mommy met daddy at college. Charlie, stop stealing your brother's Jell-O," Beca said to her 4-year-old daughter.
"You know, Daddy sang to Mommy before we even knew each other," Jesse bragged and gave Beca a wink while she served their two-year-old, Max, some baby food, Charlie gaped. "Yup. I knew she'd be mine."
After dinner and putting the children to sleep, Beca and Jesse retired to their room. Beca climbed into bed and looked at Jesse expectantly. He quickly grabbed his laptop and hopped into bed with her. He booted up the laptop and opened a file.
First up was their wedding video, which was a classic mess. Fat Amy had persuaded Beca and Jesse to let her by saying, "In Australia, I spent a week in the outback filming Aborigines."
Of course, everyone that was a Treble Maker (minus Bumper) and a Barden Bella were invited and were even part of the wedding party. Fat Amy spent most of the evening interviewing these people with abrupt camera sweeps to record the essential parts while providing unnecessary yet hilarious commentary.
"Oh! Oh! Here comes the bouquet!" The camera somehow landed on the floor and all you could see was everyone's legs... and then Amy's legs⦠and then people stumbling aside and some even knocked to the floor as Amy bowled them over. "YES!" came Amy's cry and as she jumped in joy, the ground shook the camera.
The camera was promptly picked up and Amy recorded herself with the following message, "Hey you guys! Congratulations on getting married! Look! I caught the bouquet! Can't wait until my wedd- CAKE! OUT OF THE WAY!"
When the camera was filming their first dance, which was to the song "Don't You (Forget About Me)", all you could hear was Amy's sobbing.
"I'm sorry you guys, but you're just so beautiful."
Out of the corner of his eye, Jesse glanced at Beca. In moments like these, he found his heart skip a beat before throbbing in his chest like it were trying to escape. Ten years and she kept making him fall in love with her every single day.
The next and final film of the evening was The Breakfast Club. Beca never made it to the end, but it was part of the tradition. She would fall asleep with her head on Jesse's chest before the ending. Jesse always stayed up until the end, reliving their first kiss at nationals. As the ending credits roll and "Don't You (Forget About Me)" ends, every single time without fail, he kisses her forehead and closes his laptop, snuggling up to the only woman in his life (besides his mother).
Not the longest thing I've written, but I sincerely hope you enjoyed it. Please review and have a day to your liking. :)
