Every now and then there is someone extraordinary living on Planet Earth. Of course, these people never know just how extraordinary they are. That, of course would be against the rules of how things work.

These people walk through life amongst the rest of the human race, and in their mind they see themselves as part of the crowd, though the reality is entirely different. Some may stutter, or have a limp in their step, or consider themselves useless. They use words like "I'm" and "just" next to each other. But there are always some, perhaps even just one, who see the full potential.

Donna Noble was one of those people. She would walk through London, her red hair like scorching fire trailing behind her, brilliant thoughts and a beautiful personality gushing through her mind and soul, and still thought her self mundane. Just a temp.

There was once, for a small moment, a time when she realized how extraordianry she was. But the universe plays by its own rules, and it doesnt like people breaking them. And so that was taken from her, along with the memories of her most wonderful days.

For many years beyond this incident, she continued living as if she were a "normal" person. Every now and then she would get a migraine and swear she could see the face of someone thin, with spiked up hair in her dreams, but it would soon pass. She lived and loved and replaced her stolen memories with new ones. Though they would never suffice, she lived on. And yes, there were moments when she was happy.

But time is unpredictable, and for Donna Noble, hers left her at 84.

Her red hair had dulled to grey and was spread on the pillow that nestled her head. The dawn sun had seeped in through the blinds and created a glowing haze over the room. The aching in Donnas tired bones was dulled, and she felt sleep beckoning her in.

She closed her eyes, ready to give in to the darkness, when she felt a hand grab hers.

"Not quite yet Donna."

A lanky, young man with dark hair was cupping her wrinkled hand. He pressed his fingers against her temples and wonderful images flooded her mind.

Giant wasps, big red spiders, walking fat and other whismical creatures. Bright colours. The man with the spiked hair. A pretty woman with blonde hair who seemed to be called Rose. Brillaint horizons of rainbow colours, new skies, amazing things and a planet made of diamond. A blue box that was infinite inside. The shining pictures filled Donna with warmth.

And amongst all those wonderful things stood Donna. Young and happy, side by side with him.

The Doctor. All her memories came rushing back to her. A smile curled her lips upwards.

"Thankyou Space Man," she managed to get out.

She closed her eyes for the last time. The doctor squeezed her hand tight, knowing he'd given her his last gift.

Donna listened as the songs of planets forever in her debt sung her to sleep.
