Hey I'm back, another new chapter, I want to get in a lot, I was out for the weekend for the Shakespeare festival and I got home, 23messages were waiting for me! I felt so happy to know that someone out there liked my short stories. Anyways this is one of the Inukag ones. I don't really write about this couple even though what I read is mostly them, I'm a weird person. I root for Inu and Kag but I read and write Sesshou and Kag.

Anyway this one is out and about, I think it's cute, tell me what you think, it could be not cute. By the way can anyone tell me if putting on a disclaimer is absolutely necessary? Because I didn't put one and everyone is saying: "Oh lawyers please don't sue me if I forget to put a disclaimer!" O.o' Anyways….. Please tell me if it's really necessary

Marshmallow

The day was cold, dreary and grey. The wind was howling and the rain was mercilessly pounding on the poor window. It was not a nice day, to say the least.

The alarm went off and a groan was heard. Kagome sat up and sighed as she slammed the noisy object.

"Time to get up" She said to herself, hating herself for uttering those words.

"Speak for yourself" The lump next to her said.

"I'm sorry your highness that I have study and work for a living" One golden eye popped out from under the mass of fluffy covers.

She got up and shivered. The bed was nice and toasty while the room was freezing cold. Her stomach gave an unpleasant lurch as she shivered: today was going to be a crappy day.

Then, the mass of covers mumbled something absolutely incoherent:

"I'm sorry I didn't catch that" She barked irritated that he had the day off and she didn't.

"I SAID!" Inuyasha yelled but then calmed down, seemingly embarrassed, and mumbled again shyly:

"You could stay here, call in sick" The look in his eyes was undoing but… she just couldn't! She had responsibilities!

"I can't! I've got an important test today!" She sat down and sighed but yelped when a hand snaked around her waist and pulled her back in bed and into the deliciously delectable covers. His rough skinned and grazed her ribs.

"I can teach you all you need to know" She squirmed and gasped out the outrageous statement and the fact that he was tickling her ribs mercilessly, she laughed.

"Inuyasha!" He nuzzled her neck as he brought her tight to his body for warmth. She knew she was losing the battle as the warmth wrapped around her, coaxing her into a deep cocoon of sleep. The bed was so soft, comfortable and inviting, trying to tear away once is hard is enough, let alone twice when you're boyfriend is holding you tight in the bed you share which felt like a giant warm fluffy marshmallow!

"You didn't even sleep properly last night because of all the noise! I know" He sniffed proudly 'Plus' She thought ' I'm nowhere near ready for that test' Her stomach gave an unpleasant, slightly nauseous, painful lurch.

"You're staying home!" he said with stubbornness, determination and a hint of panic in his voice. He pulled the covers over both of them. He held her with a firm grip so she wouldn't get out only realizing that it wasn't necessary seeing as she had already fallen asleep. He wiggled to get comfortable and put his face in her hair to get the battery acid smell of stress out of his nostrils.

He listened to their united heartbeat as he also fell asleep; following a deeply unconscious Kagome in the land of dreams.

Rainy days were made for: reading books and drinking tea near a warm fire, in a warm marshmallow like bed with your boyfriend after having slept in.
