Suki sighed and lay her head down on her mat. Working at the bay was exhausting work some days, but it was worth it to help the refugees find safety in Ba Sing Se. She rolled over and wondered if she would have dreams of the mysterious spirit girl again tonight. For the past few months, she had been having normal dreams, sometimes about Sokka, but lately the beautiful spirit would come to her dreams and watch her. She never said anything or answered any of Suki's questions, she merely watched her, sometimes with a half sad smile on her face.

Exhaustion taking over her body, Suki closed her eyes and drifted off to sleep. At first, the dream was normal, or as normal as any dream could be. She and the other Kyoshi warriors were trying to help load refugees on the ships, but all the ships kept disappearing. Suki began panicking, not knowing what to do, so she turned around and saw her, the spirit girl.

Suki took in a sharp breath as she stared at the beautiful girl and the rest of the dream melted away until it was just her and the spirit.

"Who are you?" asked Suki.

No response.

"Why won't you answer me? You come here almost every night but you say nothing! It's driving me crazy! Can't you at least tell me your name?" She yelled, crossing her arms and pouting.

The spirit with long white hair gazed at the frustrated warrior for a few seconds before finally answering. "Yue. My name is Yue. I am the moon spirit."

Suki blinked in surprise. "Yue. So that's your name….what do you want with me?"

Yue's mouth turned up in a smile when the Kyoshi warrior spoke her name. She floated over to Suki until they were just inches apart and grabbed one of her hands. Suki's vision was flooded with images, that she realized with a startle, Yue was showing her. She saw a snowy place. The firenation attacking. Two fish in a pond. Only one fish in the pond. She saw Sokka holding Yue in his arms before she disappeared and the other fish reappeared in the pond. Suki felt the Yue let go of her hand. She felt a small twinge of sadness in her stomach that she was no longer touching the girl's soft skin.

"So, you know Sokka too. Is that why you have been watching me?" questioned Suki tentatively.

"I told Sokka that I would always be with him and that meant I wanted to protect the people he loves too. I saw him dreaming about you one night so I came to find you. I was curious. Now I can see why he cares about you. You're strong, caring, and smart. Beautiful too," Yue added as an afterthought.

Suki blushed. "You're all those things too. I mean, I don't know you very well but I'm sure that Sokka thought that about you and that's why he liked you too and um..." her voice trailed off in embarrassment, too flustered by the moon spirit's compliment to continue on.

A pleased but embarrassed smile spread across Yue's face as she looked Suki in the eyes and said, "Well we will have to change that then. We will have to get to know each other better."

She squeezed Suki's hand before slowly melting away from the dream. Suki woke up with a start to find that it was still night time. Rolling over on her mat, she wondered if it had all been just a dream, none of it real.

"I eagerly await seeing when you sleep again, my dear," Yue's voice whispered in Suki's ear.

Suki smiled and closed her eyes because she knew it was not just a dream. She was looking forward to meeting the moon spirit girl again.
