I do not own any of the Angel Sanctuary characters. This is a one-shot. Enjoy!
*~*~*~
'God's beloved daughter,' She thought, scoffing. Alexiel looked around Eden and sighed with discontent. She loved her brother, but what would it achieve? God had banished him and she was doomed to be alone.
"Alexiel." Lucifer purred. He stepped into the light and saw the beloved and sneered. "Face your death." She turned and he saw her sad eyes.
"Would you truly kill me, Lucifel?" He cringed at his old name, but admitted he was intrigued. Why was she here? "You see this rose?" She pricked herself as she pulled it from its place. "I love how it smells, how it feels, what it is. Its very essence."
"Why are you here, Alexiel? Isn't the garden off-limits?" Lucifer lowered his weapon, eyeing her curiously.
"Father only wanted me to do my part, then he cast me aside." She smiled sadly. "But I still love Him."
"Why?"
"He cursed me to love everything, but I am fine with that. I heard about your fate, Lucifel. I am sorry for such a thing." She hugged him, love radiating off her.
"He made me to defy him!" Lucifer felt rage, but softened for the moment when Alexiel touched his arm lightly.
"I love you, Lucifer." She answered with a smile.
"Alexiel?" He looked at her with a quizzical glance. "You love a monster?"
"I love you. Not a monster. I love Lucifer. It's what I know."
"Come with me then."
"I cannot leave." He frowned. "Father imprisoned
me here."
"You are cursed to paradise?"
"It is a sacrifice I am willing to make." She hugged him again. "Do not worry. I will always love you, Lucifer, monster or not."
He grinned and she laughed softly. It was so easy to please the Prince of Darkness, but she was wholeheartedly in love with the Fallen One. It didn't matter to her that he was the father of all evil and demons that would plague humans. She only hoped he wouldn't try something he would regret later.
"I will free you, Alexiel." Lucifer vowed.
There was the something that he would regret later. God would punish him and she didn't want that for him. "Lucifer, not for me. Just be content with my love and come to visit from time to time."
"I need you with me!" He begged her. "Be with me!"
"I cannot follow you to hell. I would not survive." She reasoned, knowing it was the truth.
"I swear that I will rescue you from this prison." Lucifer vowed, disappearing.
Men, she swore they would be her undoing. Rosiel...She thought of her beloved brother, whom she loved more than any other and smiled.
