He was a young, budding, oblivious inventor. She was a girl scout leader, intergalactic saviour, and in love with him.

How two different people with totally contrasting personalities could get together was still beyond Phineas Flynn's wildest imagination.

Yet as he sat in his swivel chair, he could not get over the fact that he was in love with Isabella Garcia-Shapiro.

But how can it be? Phineas asked himself. She was totally different from him. They had virtually nothing in common.

So why did, in his heart of hearts, love her so much?

He rarely did anything for her, rarely showed her any sign of affection. Even he sometimes believed that he didn't like her.

To him, she was just a friend...

It's true, he told himself. He had done some things for Isabella, but not just out of goodwill. He was always there for her, helping her when it was needed, making her laugh, making her happy...
