Wow. So it has been a few (a lot) of years since I first began this.. I am so sorry. I started this when I was young and had about the same writing experience as a rhino. SO! For those of you who have followed this story, please forgive me. I am going to completely redo it and continue onwards with the story. So here we go!

December, 1918
"Sasuke-kun!"
Panting, the little pinkette ran towards a young boy that she had known for as long as she could remember. Her best friend, now and always. "Sasuke-kun!", she yelled once more as she came to stop before him, trying not to let the panic from the village rumors get to her.
Onyx eyes opened, as the young boy had been laying on the grass relaxing. Letting out a soft sigh, he pushed himself up off the ground while glancing at the other child. Lifting an eyebrow, he regarded her curiously as it was clear something had set her off.
"Hn, what is it?"
Biting her lip, the pinkette slowly lowered herself to sit beside him. She played with the hem of her dress as she tried to figure out what exactly to say. Taking a deep breath, she began with "Look, I know I'm just a kid and I get wrapped up in stories all the time, but I wouldn't be wrapped up in this one unless it was important! Okay, you have to understand, it's confusing and the adults keep talking about scary things! Spooky, scary things! And it makes no sense and you're my friend so I don't understand why they say it but I ju-"
"Sakura, get to the point".
Tensing at the demanding tone of the six year old boy's voice, she slowly looked up from her gown. Emerald clashed with onyx as the little girl let out a shaky breath. "T-The grown ups.. They say you.. Your family are all vampires. They want to kill you! Sasuke, what.. What it going on? Why do they think this? We have to keep you safe, you can't get hurt because of some rumor, there has to be something we can do!"
Sasuke let out a deep breath as his mouth parted slightly. He knew that eventually he would have to inform Sakura of what he is and why he is this way, but this was to soon. Glancing up at the full moon, he knew he had to make a choice rather quickly. Turning so he could take her hands in his, Sasuke rubbed his thumbs over her's in a calming manner. He had to warn his family, but they didn't have as much control around humans as he did. Sasuke was the only one who dared to venture out into the mortal world on a daily basis to become accustomed to them.
He racked his brain to come up with a solution, a solution that would result in keeping her with him. There was nothing.. Unless.. Making his mind up, he focused back on her to vocalize his thought process until a scream made his blood run cold. His eyes flashed up to Sakura, narrowing on the grip of the grown townsman that was trying to take her away from him. Ignoring the insults thrown at him by the now gathering crowd, all he could feel is the way his body shook in rage.
'She's mine. And only mine.'
In a near instant, he had moved towards them and ripped the man's grip away from the little girl. Eyes flashing red, he wrapped his arms around her protectively before flashing them into the depth of a nearby cave. Sakura shook in his arms, no doubt scared from the events that just took place. Sighing softly, Sasuke knew his next actions would only scare the poor girl more but they had to be done. He couldn't lose her.
"I will explain later, I promise", were the last words spoken before he sunk his fangs into the delicate skin of her next. Using all the self-control Sasuke had ever practiced, he only took what was needed while ignoring the growing desire for more. She was, after all, the sweetest thing he had ever tasted. Slowly releasing her, he ran his fangs across his palm before pressing it to her mouth and forcing her to drink from him.
The events taking placed proved to be more than what the young girl could comprehend and she ended up fainting. Whether it be from the overall shock or the transformation that would take place, Sasuke didn't know. Holding Sakura in his arms bridal style, all the young black haired boy was sure of was that he would never let her go. She had no choice.
Present Day
Emerald eyes snapped open as a young woman's body lurched forward. Her hand shot to her stomach, feeling a hunger that repulsed her entire being growing. Damn you, Sasuke. Cursing under her breath, Sakura slid her legs over the side of her bed before padding towards the fridge. As if the hunger wasn't bad enough, she had another one of those dreams again. One of him.
Taking out a supply she had snached from a blood mobile, she poured the contents into a cup before sitting down by her window in her small studio apartment. As her hunger began to disappear, she couldn't help but rethink over her time with Sasuke and all the events that had transpired since that fateful day in their old village. Apparently, a vampire's body continued to age in the same manner as a human's did until reaching early twenties to late thirties. During that time was when the body would eventually slow it's aging process until it froze altogether, leaving the vampire immortal.
She was still in the aging process when she had ran from Sasuke's captivity, being only fifteen at the time. Now, almost a hundred years later and a body frozen at twenty-two, she was still fleeing from him the best she could. Sakura glanced over at her calendar at the wall, eyebrows slightly raising as she saw what the date was. "That's right, Hinata's having a dinner for all our friend's tonight.."
Placing her now finished cup in the sink, after rinsing it out of course, she padded over to her dresser to quickly find something to wear. In all honesty, Sakura wasn't sure how these things really worked. She had never been able to stay in one place long enough to make any friends, that's why Konoha was so refreshing for her. It was one of those things Sakura wasn't even aware she was missing before it was reintroduced into her life.
Deciding on a forest green cami, dark cut off shorts and a short sleeve cardigan, the pinkette quickly got dressed before brushing the knots out of her hair. Sliding on some socks and her white low top converse, she felt relatively okay with her appearance for Hinata's get together. Her emerald eyes glanced out at the afternoon sun that was beginning to set, thank you vampirism for taking away the ability to see a sunrise, and knew that she had to start heading out.
Locking the door behind her, Sakura set out on her way while trying to remain on guard. Just because Sasuke had not found her yet, doesn't mean he wasn't going to sooner or later. With her luck, it'd be any day now. Becoming absorbed in her thoughts about this, she was oblivious to the feeling of onyx eyes watching her move threw the afternoon crowd. Of course, that was until an all to familiar voice stopped her in her tracks.
"Sakura".
No. No no no no no. Not now, not again.
Feeling the panic starting to move through her body, she bolted till she found herself coming upon the familiar sight of her friend's home. Stopping just in front of the door, Sakura slowly glanced around to see if she lost her once captor. That was Sasuke's voice and she knew it. Coming to the conclusion that he was gone, for now, she knocked on the door.
The door swung open to reveal the young black headed girl Sakura had grown fond of, who greeted her with a smile. "Sakura-chan! I'm glad you could make it.. A-Are you.. Are you okay? Y-You look um.. You just look a little pale.. I-I mean m-more so than usual.."
Smiling at the shy girl in front of her, Sakura forced her body to relax as she insured Hinata that she was fine. There was no way Sakura was going to tell her, or anyone else for that matter, the truth of what was going on in her life. "Is that billboard brow? Since she got here late to help set up, tell her that her ass can go pick up the last minute groceries!"
Resisting an urge to roll her eyes at the voice coming from the kitchen, she slowly stepped inside as Hinata ushered her in. Making her way to the kitchen, her nose wrinkled in displeasure at the familiar blonde barking orders at a couple of their other mutual friends. "Ah, Ino-pig. To what do I owe the pleasure?" came her sassy remark in response to the earlier insult of her looks, and she took gratification in the way Ino seemed to grow agitated with the nickname. The blonde girl picked up a paper sitting on the counter before storming her way over to the new arrival, before all but slamming it into her hands.
"You got here last, you go get this shit. We're busy, freak."
"Aww, does someone need a hug?"
"Hug me and die, you pink haired abnormality."
Sakura grinned as Ino turned and stalked away, proud of herself for getting under the other girl's skin. Ever since they met, Ino had taken a disliking towards her and Sakura could not figure out why. It seemed as just her existing was a personal insult towards the girl, which made no sense seeing as how they had never met before. Glancing at where Hinata disappeared to, she headed in that direction and after telling the younger girl where she was going, Sakura exited the house and headed for the store.
Gripping the list in her hand, Sakura slid through the crowd with ease and let herself become preoccupied with reading the items deemed required on the list. This would prove to be most unfortunate, however, because the pinkette was so focused on the task assigned to her that she failed to notice the pale hand that shot out to grab her.
