This just randomly came to my mind… like, a minute ago. Well, a minute ago as I'm writing this. Anyways, here it is!

Light P.O.V.
I would have to do it soon. For the good of the new world, L would have to die tomorrow.
I wanted him to die so I could finally become god of my new world, but at the same time, I didn't. He was my first true friend, and my first true enemy… my… friendly enemy.
It's not a real word, but it works. On the outside, I'm Raito Yagami, genius, Kira suspect, and Ryuzaki's friend. On the inside, I'm Kira. Powerful, godly, invulnerable, the ruler of the new world. Deeper down, though, I'm just Light. Seventeen, college student, friend to Ryuzaki. I had three faces, one for the public, one for my new world, and another for something I did not know.
Raito Yagami did not have a part in this. Kira wanted L to be dead, gone forever. Light desperately wanted some way out of it, some way to make the world perfect and keep his friend who challenged him in every way. Only one could win, though.
Kira won that battle.
L fell to the floor. I quickly ran and caught him. It was for Raito, Kira, and Light. Raito was expected to do something like that. Kira wanted to see the shock on L's face and show him that Kira had won. Light wanted one last moment with his friend.
L's eyes were wider than usual. He stared up at me. A cruel grin was on my face, a malevolent look in my eyes. Slowly, L closed his eyes for the first, and last, time.
I screamed his name over and over. This was for Light. Raito could look shocked. Kira had no part in this. Light screamed out his unknown pain of killing his friend.
It was over. I had won. But sitting in the chair, waiting for the news that L was dead, information that I knew was true, I wondered. Had I really won? I had killed the only person who challenged me, the only one who got under my skin.
I had killed my friend.
