Chapter one
Something was jabbing me. I turned the other way but it jabbed harder. I moaned and opened my eyes blinking sleep out of my eyes to see Silvercloud looking down at me her eyes lit in amusement.
"Get up you lazy furball, you slept so long I might have mistaken you for a badger." I got up and groomed my fur stopping to reply.
"Hey if I was a badger I would've attacked you already." I cuffed her ear and padded out of the warriors den. Talonclaw was ordering patrols and the other warriors were eating at the fresh kill pile. I padded over to the fresh kill pile to Lionfang.
"Hey Rabbitfoot, Silvercloud." We sat beside him taking a thrush to share. "So have you seen Sunheart? We were going to hunt together" Lionfang meowed.
"Well is someone eager or in love." Silvercloud mewed. Lionfang looked at his paws while I let out an mrrow of laughter. We ate there sharing tongues till Talonclaw called me.
"Rabbitfoot finish your thrush then go on patrol with Silvercloud, Cloudheart, Smallclaw, and Mosspaw. Mosspaw looked up from pinning Goldenpaw and raced to her mentor Cloudheart who was talking to Brackentail. Cloudheart got up and motioned the rest of her patrol. Me and Silvercloud finished are thrush meowing a goodbye to Lionfang before running to the rest of the patrol and heading headed into the forest with are ears pricked. I saw a Rabbit and gave chase. I closed my eyes as I ran through ferns and got distracted by a alarm call from Silvercloud.
"Rabbitfoot watch out!" I yowled in surprise as I ran through more ferns off a side of a cliff. I heard wails come from my patrol as I fell down a stony path into a river. I gasped and tried to swim to shore but the current was fast and I went under. Something grabbed me by the scruff and pulled me out of the river. Last thing I remembered was a brown and white tom looking at me in amasment.
