A/N: This was written for the "The 100 Word Drabble Challenge (With Prompts)"challenge hosted by Rosalyn. The idea was to write a drabble of exactly 100 words using at least one of these ideas: Love, Betrayal, Regret, Forgiveness, Hope, and include at least one of these prompts in some way: "horse," "sword," "magic," "dragon," "ray gun," "spaceship."
Kamui Approaches
The Shinken shook a little on the altar.
Kamui was coming. Kyougo could feel his presence approaching, accompanied by pain, anger and uncertainty. The Shinken felt it too, trembling from the magic that drew near.
The fear came to him too, as though the Shinken was a conduit, but with it came memories of blood, promise and regret. The words his beloved wife had spoken to him before bearing the sword from her body. The sad goodbye her closest friend had uttered before vanishing forever.
Kamui was still not ready, and he could not take the Shinken until he was.
