Author's Note: Sesshomaru explores uncharted territories in the moon bathed fields of his brothers forest.
By the Light of the Moon
Lime light of the moon
On distant skies of night
Winds of howls never raised
Protests of the night
Grazing past forests of dark
Past gleams of fallen stars
Through silken strands of ebony
Across porcelain planes of a single beating heart
Through seas of forest greens with crashing waves of question
Through mountains of smooth stone, steep slopes of white granite
Through lands unexplored and unseen by man and beast alike
To the breath of a word taken aboard the winds of a restless night
Dying nights and brinking days
On these distant skies of mine
These winds of howls forever raised
No protests force the nights
Laying in forests of twilight haze
Gazing at gleams of falling stars
Through silken strands of jasmine ebonies to catch the wayward stars
Cascading porcelain planes - now mine - finally explored
Seas of turbulent greens now at rest
Smooth mountains of marble rise and fall
These lands explored by no man, but beast
The breath of her words taken on the winds of a many nights
Sleeping landscapes of many and few
Silk, marble, porcelain doll laying in my arms coated with morning dew
Jasmine petals cover the senses; I surrender
She is mine and I am hers; my mark of eternity entwines us together
Usher me into vivid dreams
Of forest floors and cascades of river greens
Encase my love in marbled stone in hues of the softest pinks
Etched upon it, her name of beautifully tamed sanity
forever upon my tongue it remains
A beautiful poison I shall forever indulge
Such a sweet death of the past; it's heartbreaks, mistakes
"Kagome…"
