Chapter 1: Chapter 1

I'm starting this new story. I've never written about these two so its a new pairing for me but I'm excited to try it.

Prologue

Hinata's eyes blinked open and took in her surroundings. The bright white walls blinded her and the constant beep of machines caused her head great pain.

Where am I? What happened?

The clicking of heels were directed towards her. She heard the quiet click of her door and rubbed her temples, sitting up to look at the Hokage Tsunade. She held a clipboard and stared down at in concentration.

"It seems you've developed a serious case of amnesia. What's the last thing you remember?"

Hinata blinked up at the Hokage, her mind was fogged up and pounding, the headache was making everything worse. "I-I have no idea..." The younger girl answered honestly, letting out a frustrated sigh.

"Do you remember your name?"

"Yes, Hinata."

"And how old are you?"

"Twenty-two."

"Do you remember who I am?"

"The Hokage."

"And who is Naruto in relation to yourself?"

"I-I dont know..."

A crooked smile stretched across her face, "Perfect. I'll return later with your things. I believe you are on a fast road to recovery."

Hinata sat up as a girl with bright pink hair walked in the room. Her face was familiar. She muttered, "Sakura" as she remembered.

"How are you feeling?" Sakura questioned as she handed Hinata a steaming bowl of ramen. The smell vaguely reminded her of someone she once knew but she couldn't put a finger on it. Why is this scent so familiar?

"Better I guess...I still don't remember much. Why am I here?"

Sakura silently battled her morals. She knew the truth yet she also knew she was better off not saying anything. After a long pause she sighed heavily and began the fib. "You were sent on a mission to Kirigakure and received a nasty blow to the head. the doctors believe it has caused minor amnesia. No worries though. We'll be sending you home to Suna shortly."

"Suna..? I thought I lived here." The pale girl questioned.

"Do you not remember? You're married to-"

Tsunade stepped into the room and cleared her throat loudly. "I believe these belong to you." She stated setting a bag of personal items on Hinata's bedside table.

Tsunade and Sakura exit the room and Hinata is left alone in the quiet room once again. She stares at her cold soup, feeling lonely.

A light knock is heard at the door.

"Come in." Hinata whispers and Temari edges the door open.

"We better start heading home. Its getting pretty late."

"Home...?"
