It had been a long day for Wendy Marvell. She had been traveling all day to get to her new home in Magnolia. Her and her mother had been driving for the past two days. Her mother had gotten a teaching job at Fairy Tail High School. She started today but they had some difficulties trying to catch Wendy's cat Carla.

"Mom is this going to be like all the other school," Wendy asked.

"What do you mean by that dear? I thought you liked the other schools Wendy,"

"I did but you didn't. The school would criticize how you taught because it didn't follow their curriculum but because I had finally gotten used to the school you wouldn't say anything about it until the gave you a pink slip and fired you. Is this school going to criticize how you teach and make you change it, and if it does will you keep that a secret like you did all the other times?" she asked with fury in her voice.

"Oh Wendy, I didn't know it upset you so much. I just didn't want to worry you with my problems. Hear what, if they tell me to change anything about the way I teach I'll tell you first and depending on what it is you can decide if we stay or not ok dear?" her mom said with sincerity.

"Okay."

"But I don't think that is going to happen. When I came down to see what it was like to see if I would take the job or not, the principal sat through all the classes I taught and at the end of the day he just kept telling me how splendid I was with the kids."

Wendy looked at her mom in disbelief. This was the first school where the principal had something positive to say about her mom and it also seemed to be the first that requested her as a teacher. Maybe she was right; maybe this school will be different from the rest and for the better too.

Wendy had drifted off to sleep after awhile. She dreamed of what this new school was going to be like and if it was all it cracked up to be.
