Two thousand years ago,
There was a Devil.
A Devil that betrayed his kind,
and fought against them with the humans.
His name was Sparda.
With his sword,
he sealed his kind into the Demon World.
Sparda became a legend.

Sparda married a human named Eva
and had twin hybrid sons.
One was named Vergil,
the other was named Dante.
One twin grew up
to follow his father's footsteps.
He saved the humans,
just like his father did.
This was Dante's destiny
The other twin grew up
evil and hateful
He killed the humans,
just like the Lord of all Devils did.
This was Vergil's destiny.

Both has his demonic blood.
But have different destinies.
One will be superior in the end.
