Another Thomas rewrite, this time it's "Bad Day at Castle Loch" from Season 7, with added lines by tate310. Enjoy and comment.
Donald and Douglas are Scottish twin engines who work on Sir Topham Hatt's railway.
Even though they are really useful, they sometimes wish they were back home in Scotland.
One day, Sir Topham Hatt came to Brendam Docks.
"Lord Callan's castle is finally reopening." said Sir Topham Hatt. "There is to be a grand celebration tomorrow. I need you two to take the banners and bunting to the castle. Harvey will load the supplies for you both."
"Yes sir!" said the two twin engines.
The twins were excited. Going to the castle would just be like going back to Scotland.
Soon, Harvey had finished loading the freight, and the twins were ready to depart, when Percy puffed up.
"Where are you going?" asked Percy.
"Lord Callan's castle!" exclaimed Donald.
"But there's a monster!" tooted Harvey.
"I'm glad I'm not going there!" said Percy nervously.
"Scared the monster might get you?" teased Douglas.
"He might!" replied Donald.
"There's no monster!" insisted Donald.
"There is too!" argued Douglas.
Without another word, Donald and Douglas puffed away.
Lord Callan's castle is located in Misty Valley. Donald and Douglas were determined to get the goods there in time.
They were nearly at the castle, but soon there was trouble. Trees had fallen down across the line.
Their drivers applied the brakes, just in time!
But worse was to follow. With a thunderous roar, a landslide caused the brake-van to come off the track.
Donald and Douglas were stuck.
"We'll call Sir Topham Hatt." said Donald's driver.
The twins were worried.
Sir Topham Hatt was trying on his new outfit when the telephone rang.
"I'll send help right away!" said Sir Topham Hatt.
But hours passed, and there was no sign of help for Donald and Douglas.
Soon, it was nighttime, and it was getting cold, but still, no help had arrived.
Suddenly, the twins spotted something in the mist.
"What's that?" asked Donald.
"It might be the monster!" cried Douglas.
But soon, the "monster" soon turned out to be Harvey! He had the breakdown crane with him.
Donald and Douglas were relieved.
By morning, the lines were clear, and Donald and Douglas were able to continue on.
When they arrived at the castle, workers were waiting to unload the freight cars.
Soon, the castle was decorated, and the grand reopening was a great success.
"You are both really useful engines!" said Sir Topham Hatt.
Donald and Douglas were pleased.
