A/N: I tried a little bit of parallel structure. Read and review please.... Tell me what you think... Thanks.
Her Prince
Cat thought that true love meant a prince had to sweep her off her feet; she changed that.
Her prince wasn't clad in armor, didn't have a sword, or didn't slay anything except for hearts. Her prince wasn't classy. Her prince was blunt, and didn't care about anyone.
Cat thought that true love was supposed to be easy, natural, some would call it. She thought they'd be able to kiss in public, and everyone would be jealous; she changed that.
Her prince didn't sought out that part. It was confusing and exclusive. Her prince was demanding and told her true love wasn't kissing in public like everyone else thought. They were crazy, her prince told her.
Cat thought that true love was supposed to be romantic. Love poems, guitar solos outside her house, and rocks thrown at her windows; she changed that.
Her prince wasn't romantic, it was quick; no strings attached, her prince would say sometimes. As if she'd know what that meant. Her love happened within the realms of her own room, nothing more.
Cat thought that true love was simple; she changed that.
Her prince made things harder, if anything. It was always the same. I love you, Cat would say almost every night, no response, usually. Her prince would only say those words on occasion, Cat would wish that those occasions were every night.
Cat thought that true love was blunt, exclusive, and demanding. She thought true love wasn't romantic, and it was complicated, no strings attached; she kept that.
Her prince was anything but; she was Jade West.
