A Life Ago

Sawada Iemitsu cried, tears of joy mingling with tears of utter sadness.

"You aren't my Tsu-chan," Nana breathed out to the new life that was crying out to tell the world that she was alive.

"You won't ever be my Tsu-chan, but that's okay."

Iemitsu reached out for the precious life and all he could think was oh god oh god ohgodohgodohgod.

"Yuzuki," Nana murmured, stroking her husband's face as he closed his eyes and let the tears trail down his face and drop down onto the baby that was quieting down.

"Her name will be Yuzuki."

Iemitsu merely nodded, unable to come up with words. He felt like he had held his Tsuna a life ago, yet at the same, a mere few minutes ago.

"Hello, Yuzuki," he cooed over his tears, wiping them away almost angrily. "I'm your father."

And they both wept, the baby stilling and falling asleep, looking like a little baby boy that had died two days ago.
