Tears
I felt myself breaking down
As my face formed a frown
I gripped my jacket's sleeve
As my tears continued to heave
I tried to get you out of my head
Without the help of a lead
I tried to get hold of myself
But I just can't do the thing itself
Many have told me to let go and to forget
But erasing your mere existence would be my greatest regret
I tried and tried to forget all those moments
Until my heart turned into tiny fragments
I stopped myself from letting his voice echo
But it still went with the flow
I tried to stand up on my own
But still I ended up falling on my lawn
I know I promised you I won't cry
And I won't even try
But I'm sorry I broke my promise
Until my tears start to cease
