Life is beautiful when you have everything you need and desire. But when you are born without any privileges, that's when you must fight for what you want. This is the life of two teenagers growing up in district one. For those who don't know what district one is let me explain. In konoha city there are five districts and to put it simple district one is the poorest of them all. Drugs, crime and violence terrorize the community.
It's seven thirty in the morning and you can hear two teens waking up in district nine. Sasuke uchiha is waiting for his friend in the kitchen of his apartment. Well in reality it wasn't his apartment, he couldn't even afford to pay half of the rent. The place belonged to teuchi, a ramen shop owner. His ramen stand was named ichiraku ramen, which happened to be on the first floor of the apartment. He shared the apartment with his best and only friend naruto uzumaki.
Naruto the young blond was waking up in his room, he looked over to his right and noticed that his alarm was ringing. He yawned and reached towards it to shut it off. Naruto looked around his room trying to find his school uniform. He finally found it after searching through half of the piles of cloths that were laying on the ground.
As he was approaching the kitchen when he noticed the smell of coffee and figured that sasuke was already up. "hey hurry sasuke or we'll be late". The raven haired boy was sitting down drinking his coffee. "you're the one that just woke up, lets go" sasuke uchiha grabbed two tomatoes put them in his pockets and walked down the stairs.
The two teens were exiting their apartments when they noticed a young brunette was out side opening a door from the first floor. Naruto noticed it was ayame, teuchi's eighteen year old daughter and waved good bye. She smiled and also waved the eighteen year old was opening the ramen stand while her dad was out running some errands.
The uzumaki than faced the uchiha while still walking and asked "hey do you think do you think this year will be different and we won't get ignored by the rest of the world ". Sasuke looked annoyed at naruto's question, like always and answered "shut up loser what you need to worry about is getting better grades. You're lucky you passed last year". Naruto smiled and nodded, but mentally answered back 'yea but it would be nice if for the first time I can talk to someone else with a larger vocabulary than you and get a girlfriend'. They continued to walk towards school in silence
The two freshmen boys reached their new school, Konoha High School. They walked in and noticed that everyone laid eyes on them. Most faces were familiar and knew both boys from their previous middle school, but the others had only heard the rumors of the two infamous konoha's district one's ninth corner thugs.
Sasuke was known for his quiet personality. He was the bad ass that every girl wanted to date. but every single girl was afraid to talk to him and most of them were afraid of what their peers would think of them if they'd confess their love to the uchiha. Also since he didn't talk to anyone besides naruto, He remained single. He had a bad temper just like the rest of the uchihas. But unlike them who always stuck together in district 3. for some reason he ran away from home at the age of six. That's how he met naruto. Even though all the girls wanted him the boys his age hated him because of his cold personality. When he ran away his bad reputation started. Through his childhood he got into a lot of fights which followed him through his teenage years, still being undefeated. it also didn't help he became friends with naruto who loves to get into countless fights.
Naruto on the other hand was a mischievous knuckle head. He was very cheerful even after his dark and lonely past. The uzumaki was an orphan, he never met his parents. The blonde lived in an orphanage until he was five. Than he ran away due to all the other kids bullying him and even the orphanage staff treated him like trash. Unlike his friend sasuke he didn't have a fan club of girls secretly stalking him, hell he couldn't even get a girlfriend. But trust me he tried and tried again, but he didn't have the courage to talk to his crush. Nobody wanted to be his friend because he was a slum rat since he grew up alone and on the streets. He loved to fight because that was his way of proving he was just as good as his peers, and this is the basic background of the ninth corner thugs.
After finding out what classroom they were in they walked in class 2b and sat down in the back corner of the classroom.
'' hey sasuke did you noticed that ino and sakura are in this classroom" his friend pretended to ignore him and looked around. He noticed that he was right, kiba and shino were also In his class. Chouji and shikamaru were also in his class and just as he was finishing his count on how many students he knew, another familiar face entered. Hinata hyuga or as her fan club would call her the hyuga princes. Of course she didn't know she had a fan club she was to shy to talk to any one besides ino and sakura. On special occasions she would talk to kiba and shino which made naruto crazy jealous. He looked over towards his friend and noticed that two heart shaped eyes replaced his normal blue ones. Like always when he seen the hyuga.
As hinata was walking by he noticed another girl with the exact same eyes walking behind her, she must also be a hyuga. Unlike hinata she had a fierce look on her face he noticed that ino and sakura wave hello and signaled them to sit next to them.
It was already lunch time and The two teens noticed that everyone evaded them just like the previous years. Naruto was eating a single sandwich he bought from the cafeteria while the uchiha was biting on a tomato. They were siting outside under a tree and sasuke said "hey loser we need to get more jobs we're out of money and food". "i know and my I'm embarrassed of asking ayame for more credit my tab skyrocketed". Naruto than told sasuke "i have two hundred yen left I'm going to hit the slots at mr chan after school. Mr. chan had a corner store in front of the ramen shop. This corner was known as the as the ninth corner. (A/N IN SOME THIRD WORLD COUNTRIES LIKE MEXICO THERE ARE SMALL SLOT MACHINES IN CORNER STORES SO YEA SINCE THIS IS A POOR DISTRICT I BASED IT SORT OF LIKE THAT. YOU CAN LOOK UP WHAT THEY LOOK LIKE ON YOUTUBE IF YOU'RE INTERESTED BECAUSE ITS GOING TO PLAY A BIG PART IN THE STORY) Sasuke realized his blond friend was right, he needed a quick way to make some cash.
As they were enjoying their cheap and small meals a group of all boys approached them luckily not hearing their conversation. Naruto looked over towards the five boys and tried to smile. The leader of the group told naruto "what the hell you looking at". The blond's face expression suddenly changed, his sincere smile transformed into a vicious scowl. Sasuke noticed this and came to the realization, those punks weren't worth his time. He than said two simple words "leave now!" the said leader than threw A piece of paper at the uchiha, naruto than picked up the paper and asked "why do you have a picture of sasuke you have a crush on him?". "No you idiot I found this in my girls locker" the over jealous teen than looked over towards the uchiha and blurted out "you better leave her alone pretty boy or ill scar your face so bad that even your boyfriend wont want you"
the blond than started laughing so hard he could barely say "i cant be leave you have a boyfriend" his words were interrupted by laughter and than he continued "that's so gay"
Meanwhile not far away from the two teens four girls were sitting on a picnic table. It was sakura, middle school's cherry blossom, she was loved by many. But she was yet to return it to a very lucky guy. Well mostly because she never confessed her big big crush to sasuke.
Next was ino, she was the most popular person of her generation. She loves to gossip and also flirt, but only that and nothing more. I already introduced hinata and finally was hanabi. She is hinata's little sister. She's two years younger than her but the reason for her being in the same class as her older sister is unknown as til now.
Each girl was eating their bento box and than ino asked hanabi "so how you like it here do you think you can adapt". "yea, its pretty cool I'm with all three of you in the same class". Ino noticed sakura being quiet and it was quite unusual. She was ready to change that "Sakura don't you think its amazing that my sasuke is in our class", "yeah I guess". Ino didn't know what was happening, as soon as she would say sasuke was hers, sakura would flip out. Hanabi detected the awkward silence and said "talking about your knight in shining armor, isn't that him over there". All three girls looked over and noticed sasuke and naruto were eating under a tree. "sister why are those two always alone". Hinata than answered "because they don't have any friends"
They continued to eat their lunches and than hanabi looked over towards them again "that's a lie look those guys are walking towards them". Sakura's hand turned into a fist and with distaste in her words She said "those aren't their friends they probably want to pick a fight with them just like every other jerk of our age". Hanabi couldn't believe it, if people picked a fight with them it had to be for a reason. She than looked at her sister and without her asking hinata answered "and the worst thing is that they don't deserve it. They have never been mean to anyone unless they pick a fight with them". "is that true ino" the said blond, with a frown on her face nodded implying a yes. Hanabi got up from her seat and walked fiercely towards the soon to be fight. "where are you going?" asked hinata. "someone has to stand up for them", hinata knew she couldn't change her sister's mind so she just followed and the two other teens did the same.
The blond started to laugh so hard he could barely say "i cant be leave you have a boyfriend" his words were interrupted by laughter and than he continued "that's so gay"
All four girls could hear the argument on their way over there and hanabi asked the blond boy "you do know he's talking about you right". "wait what!" naruto than pointed at the guy who insulted him "that's not funny you bastard". Everyone sweat dropped except for sasuke because he already knew how naive his friend was.
Hanabi composed her composure and said "look just leave them alone it's not his fault your girlfriend Is a stalker". You could tell the boy was past mad by his irritated face. Ino than blurted out "yea shes not the only one sakura here has one too". Sakura yelled at ino with a small blush "shut up ino who asked you". The boy who's girlfriend was stalking the uchiha warrior than threw a punch but was stopped by a commanding voice "STOP!". Everyone who was in the argument looked over and it was no one other than neji hyuga, the student councils newest member. "if you don't want to deal with me I suggest you leave". Nobody wanted to have any type of problem with neji for two reasons he was in the student council and he was crazy strong. So everyone just walked away except for naruto and the uchiha who stayed in their seats. As the four girls were leaving neji looked at the two hyuga beauties and said "I'll deal with you later".
Classes were over and all the students were leaving the school. Naruto and sasuke were exiting the doors when they noticed that hanabi and ino were waiting outside. Both boys figured that they were waiting for the other two beauties. "hey you think we should talk to them" the uchiha already knew his knuckle headed friend was going to ask him that. The raven haired boy than answered "no". Like always naruto didn't listen to him he walked towards the two girls, sasuke annoyed by naruto's action also did the same.
Ino saw naruto and sasuke walking towards them and she couldn't beleive it. Sakura and hinata needed to get here and fast. "hey girls" naruto said, ino smiled and than answered "hey whats up". Sasuke looked at ino and hanabi but didn't say a word. The hyuga than asked sasuke "are all the uchihas this stuck up". A vein than popped on sasuke's for head and asked back "are all the hyugas this spoiled". "look pretty boy if you're going to be a jerk you didn't have to talk to us". A small smile appeared on sasuke's lips, he got closer towards hanabi. He than put his face very close towards hers' and asked hanabi "pretty boy? so you're saying you like me". The hyuga than backed off and blurted out with an embarrassed face "NO" she than turned around so her three peers wouldn't look at her.
Hinata and sakura arrived just in time and naruto said "look I just wanted to say thank you for earlier". The girls than looked at him and noticed he had a sincere smile drawn on his face. He than continued "yea but I didn't know sasuke here wanted to flirt with yall". Hinata and sakura didn't know what he was talking about so they just smiled and nodded, pretending to know what he meant. Ino just sighed and said mentally 'I wish he would flirt with me'. Hanabi's face showed a small blush but luckily she was turned around. "I don't want to flirt with any of them I just wanted to teach this spoiled brat a lesson".
Sasuke than started to walk away and naruto followed him. Hinata noticed this and wanted to stop them, she didn't want them to be alone. She knew how bad it was to not have any friends and OK she had a crush on naruto since she could remember. "wait" both boys turned around and looked at hinata. "you guys don't have to leave we could hang out". The uchiha looked at naruto, he knew how much he liked hinata and he didn't want to ruin his friend's chance with her. Naruto smiled and said "I wish we could but we have a lot of things to do". He started to walk away and than with out turning around he waved good bye. Sasuke than said "you're so lame trying to look cool in front of your little crush". Sakura not losing her opportunity to have a chance to talk with sasuke said "we should all eat lunch together some time", "yea sure"answered the uchiha.
All four girls were waiting for there ride and than they noticed that those five boys who picked a fight with the uchiha, they started to head the same way home as naruto and sasuke all new that thos boys lived west towards district three so why were they heading south towards district one. "do you think they're going to fight them" asked Ino. Sakura than answered "no they are not" she than followed them and so did the other three girls. something was about to go down.
Naruto was eating an instant ramen in the kitchen when sasuke entered the apartment. He was covered in grease and oil. He put an envelope on the table "here's the money Mr. Chan paid me for fixing his car, I want you to buy groceries and the rest give it to ayame" He than went towards the fridge and pulled out the carton of milk and took a drink. He noticed that a camera was on the table and asked naruto "did you win" naruto didnt answered so the uchiha figured it was a no "why do you have that old thing out". Naruto smiled and answered "this is whats going to make us rich". "You're crazy", sasuke than walked towards the bathroom. Naruto stayed in the kitching finishing his ramen with a smile on his face. He said to no one in particular "that idiot with the picture gave me a great idea".
