After the success of my last Jinoochy fanfic, I decided to write another. This time it's just a simple little one-shot. Thanks for all the support to everyone that reviewed and favourited The Dollface and the Pickpocket.

A Trade Amongst Friends

Skoochy was sitting alone on the steps in Central City Station. Although this may have been strange behaviour for most other sixteen-year-olds, it was common for Skoochy. While most other young adults would have been shopping, hanging out with friends, studying or maybe upholding a 'normal' job, he spent his days trading information for yuans. It wasn't the easiest life, but he'd managed to look after himself for quite a while now, and there was no chance another foster home would take him now that he was legally an adult. Although, even if someone had wanted to be his foster family, he would've said no or just run away again.

So here in the middle of winter Skoochy sat rubbing his hands together, trying to keep them warm. Just as he was wishing he'd been born a Firebender rather than an Earthbender, he heard small, light footsteps heading towards him. Flicking his dark, shifty eyes upwards to see who was approaching him, Skoochy was surprised to see Jinora.

The fourteen-year-old Airbender was briskly walking towards Skoochy, pulling her coat a little tighter around her slim frame. The two had met each other a few times through Mako, Bolin and Korra, but they weren't exactly what you'd call friends. Skoochy stood up, "Well hey there Jinora," he said, tipping his hat politely. Jinora stopped and looked at Skoochy, now that she was closer he could tell she was flustered.

"Skoochy, can you help me?" she asked, looking uncertain.

Skoochy was a little taken aback, but smirked anyway. "That's what I do sweet cheeks; I help people. What information do you need?"

"Do you know where Ikki is by any chance? We can't find her and Daddy's getting really worried…I'm getting really worried."

Skoochy frowned, "Hold on, before I go dishing out information, we need to discuss my price," he said with a wink.

Jinora blushed, "Oh, um, you see, I don't actually have any money on me. I was actually sort of hoping you could just tell me if you knew anything, you know as a favor to a friend."

"Friend? We're friends now are we?" he chuckled.

"Well, if not that, then maybe because it's really important? She's only eleven, and we don't know where she is!"

"I was running around with no family at nine."

"Well, maybe because she's one of the only Airbenders in existence then?"

Skoochy smiled devilishly, "I'll cut you a deal, seeing as you are just so eager, to be my friend. I do happen to know where Ikki is, and you'll be happy to know she's safe and sound. However, if you want to know where she actually is, then that'll cost you a kiss."

Jinora blinked a few times before replying. "A kiss?" she questioned.

Skoochy nodded. Jinora looked at him in disbelief for a few seconds before nodding herself and taking a few steps forward. Much to Skoochy's amazement, Jinora stood on her toes and planted a small, sweet peck on his cheek.

Skoochy blushed furiously, "She's over in the park under the bridge with a couple of friends of mine," he mumbled.

Jinora smiled with relief, a blush also staining her own pale face. She turned around, opening up her glider as she ran. "Thanks Skoochy, I owe you one!" she yelled just before she flew off the ground, leaving him standing there.

"You're welcome," he said quietly, all too aware that she couldn't hear him. A blush still present on his face, Skoochy walked back over to the steps and sat back down. He touched his cheek almost hesitantly and a smile played on his lips, softening up his usually hard features. He sure wasn't cold anymore.
