Inspired by a image i randomly came across of a boy under a tree, gazing at the moon, speaking of the multi-universe theory and how it strengthened him because "in another world, you loved me back". This is what I think Snape might say if he was the one in the image, sitting under the tree. First try at writing something, reviews and constructive criticism welcome as always.

Lily, the muggles have a theory, that there are infinite parallel universes, containing every possible scenario and outcome.

That comforts me, because...

It means in another world, I never called you mudblood

I never drove you away with my fascination with the dark arts

I never became a death eater

It means in another world, You never ended our friendship

You never fell in love with Potter

You never became the target of the Dark Lord

It means in another world, We remained friends

We remained the best of friends

We became so much more than just friends

It means in another world, You are alive, and I have you in my arms

It means in another world, You loved me back...

But in this world, You are dead...and all I have, is infinite regret.
