"De Ritter"

"Look! It's a magic button that will free the world from all the sickness and disease that has befell us. This button will free all the abused animals and people. This button has all power sent from the heavens, but if the wrong hands, it is still deadly. This button was created by a mad scientist in a Nazi laboratory in 1942. The button was meant to harm the Americans during WW2.

Fortunately, the button was lost in an air raid. But here it sits, and here it will stay." Said Grandpa

"Grandpa?" I asked

"Yes" He replied

"What if the button were to get in the hands of a terrorist. It will still work even though it has holy powers?"

"Yes, that is what I said"

"How is it holy if Nazis made it?" I said, puzzled

"A Nazi prince prayed over it, for 500 years it will have all the power."

Grandpa continued to tell me how it should never be taken out of where we had found it. Deep in the woods. A strange, tall man followed us. He had no noticeable face features. He lost our track as we left the woods. As we would walk, we would turn around and he would be standing still far away. But as soon as we turned around, it felt like he was right behind us.

I dozed off around 11:00 that night, I had a strange dream about the tall man. He was right beside my bed, talking to me. Asking me for the button. I woke up and told my grandpa and he freaked out. Telling me to stay calm, he said how those who find the button may be cursed by the ancient monster named "De Ritter" or "Tall Man".

The whole week, I was having the same dream. My grandpa told me that we were going to hike on the mountain to get my mind off of De Ritter. He took many pictures of me when we got to the top and at cool landscapes.

Later that night, grandpa called me into the computer room where he was looking at the photos. When I looked at them, I saw nothing. But when I looked closer, I saw the man. He was closer to me in every picture.

It was hard for me to sleep that night. But oddly, I didn't have the dream. I woke up in a cold sweat to grandpa screaming in the other room. He was having a night terror. When I woke him up he opened his eyes and grabbed me, he wouldn't let me turn around.

"You can't take him!" He screamed

"I want something from him." A booming voice came from behind me. I was shivering and could not stop sweating.

"What do you want from my boy!?" Grandpa cried

"The button" the voice replied. I should have known. The other day I had stolen the button from its place. And know justice is here to haunt me, literally!

"Grandpa, I have the button" I confessed "In my bag" I turned around and saw it. He was pale and had no facial features. "I will get my bag" I ran into the other room and got the bag "Here, I'm sorry sir"

"Do not dare to do it again, or you will see me, De Ritter, again."

The next day, I checked the photos, he was gone! It was for sure over. I smiled, I knew De Ritter was not going to hurt me. That is my story of De Ritter."
