The Ones We Love

Author's Note: Hey guys! Another little one shot I wrote in class. I did based on the season finale "Honor Thy Father." I'm also doing this in loving memory of Ralph Waite who played Gibbs's father Jackson Gibbs. We'll miss you Ralph. L As always, reviews are appreciated, let me know what you think.
The ones we love are only here for a short amount of time. They could be the ones that showed you how to drive, how to love, or how to run a company. In my case, it's the ones that show you how to walk, how to talk, how to eat, how to care for others. I lost my mother at a very young age, now I've lost my father. The man who told me that there were some things in life that you just couldn't make right. But one of the things you could make right was a wooden boat. Now a middle aged man, I stand in his garage after his burial, and begin crafting a boat in his memory. This is how I honor thy father. My heart aches for him, but I know that he's in a better place now. This just goes to show that the ones we love are only here for a short amount of time. Then, they eventually leave us all.
