Standing in line was one of the worst things you waste your time on in life.

Either if your standing in line in a dollar store , standing in line for your permit, or even in a lunch line. But yeah, basically anything that has to do with standing in line sucks!

Well that is what I'm doing right now, standing in line to buy my dad's groceries. I groaned as the cashier took her time with each item and practically ignored the other impatient customers. I searched for another line, but today only 3 cashiers are open.

Five heads of people were in front of me, who were also impatient as I am, except for this girl in front of me.

She was a lot shorter than I was and had an orangey-auburn hair shade. Her long hair was tied in a messy bun and she wore brown cargo pants with a baggy green pullover, that revealed one of her shoulders. I also noticed that she carried her groceries in basket like me.

Her 2 baskets consisted of 10 pounds of flour, 5 pounds of sugar, one tub of butter, with many other condiments of cream cheese, olive oil, and baking utensils.

I raised my eyebrow, wondering how this petite girl could manage to carry that. "Next!" the cashier glared at young girl who was dozed off in a standing position. She instantly woke up and hurried to the front of the line.

Wait when did the line go by so quick?

Back to the red head, I watched her effortless placed the basket on the cashier table. The cashier was also baffled at this girl's strength, but continued to do her job slowly.

"Hello Megan!" she slapped her forward and turned an-

Oompphh.

I felt the hard floor broke my fall and felt something soft and warm on top of me. Luckily I was very strong, and was the football captain at school, so this fall didn't hurt me much.

The girl groaned and squeezed my shirt before she lifted her head up and stared at me. Her face was definitely not plain but beautiful in it's own way. She seemed mixed, but I couldn't tell what was her ethnicity.

Instead of staring at me with googly eyes, she stood up and placed a hand in front of me. I rejected her approach and I stood up myself also and dusted my dirtied pants. She gave me a confused look and instantly hit herself again, "Hello Megan, you need eggs!" and then she ran away.

I scowled, how could she not apologize? Wait what if giving her hand was the apology? I froze on my feet, no one from any high school or even championship league was able to knock me down, how was that girl able to do it?
