He was the greatest pirate captain in all the land. He was favored immensely, and everyone on his crew happily obliged to his every whim. He was a daring pirate and never hesitated to swoop in and save the day. But, unlike most pirates, he didn't have the pirate talk. He was made fun of, but didn't let that get to his head and went on to do great things, much to his mentor's, Skipper Redbeard, delight. Skipper was much like a father than a mentor to the great captain.
They warned him not to go sailing, a mighty storm was brewing, and threatened to shipwreck any ship caught in it's grip. The captain accepted the challenge and set sail.
He refused to take his crew, in case he did crash (which he highly doubted).
The winds whirled through his hair and rain pelted his clothes, soaking them. The waves roared and went as high as the sails. But the captain did not worry. Instead, he gripped the wheel and spun in, going with the wind. But suddenly, the ship turned nearly on it's side and water poured on the deck. The captain grit his teeth, lurching forward onto the deck and scooping water off the deck. The storm wasn't giving up, but neither was the pirate. Heavy rain beat against the wood of his faithful ship, the one that lead him through wars and storms.
Yet he never encountered a storm quite as violent as this one.
The rain came down in sheets, blocking his view of anything in front of him. So, he couldn't see the land he smashed into until the last minute. He toppled off the ship in surprise, the rain finally freezing him and knocking him out, washing away the remnants of his once great ship.
That was the day the pirates lost a great captain. When he did awaken, it was very unfortunate that he had lost his memory. But a pirate never forgets his name, no matter what. And he didn't, even if he didn't know the reason behind the mighty title.
So, when his zombie friend ever asks why his name is 'captain', he merely answers a short 'I'm not sure', because that is the best answer Captain Sparklez can give.
