"Ren, you're gonna do just fine." The voice of Monty rang through Lie Ren's mind. He opened his eyes to see his mentor before him. The two of them stood in the void between universes, or so it looked. Ren wasn't sure how to describe this place, but he knew it must be some sort of dream.

"But how?" He queried. UGH, did his voice really sound like that? How could he go on with this show if his muse was gone? The one who gave him his voice, his life, everything, really. How could he go on and make this RWBY business work?

"The writers won't let you down, dude! I'm sure they'll find a perfect voice actor for you. I think my brother will be reading for the part." That did little to soothe Ren's concerns. Monty's readings fit Ren better than anyone, but his god seemed to be sure of the CRWBY.

"I don't know if I can do it..." Ren sighed. Monty placed one hand on Ren's right shoulder.

"You have to, Ren. You're a fan favorite. In fact, look there." His muse motioned at something behind Ren, and Ren turned to see a massive crowd of dark silhouettes. Everyone that watched would be disappointed if Ren just hung it up.

Besides, that would mean the CRWBY would have to write him out of the show, and he didn't want to be killed off if he could help it.

"It's for them, man. Not for you or the crew. It's not even for me, and I made the show." Ren nodded at the words. "That's what I like to see. Now go kill it, my dude, and keep your head up. I know you've seen some of the upcoming scripts. Keep Jaune in high spirits after that business in the next season."

"I'll do the best I can. Thank you for everything, Monty..." Ren spoke aloud. His eyes opened to see the ceiling of his tiny room. Nora had long fallen asleep. She looked so cute, sprawled across the bed that he took up hardly any space in...

He had to keep doing this show, even if this writer was gone forever. He would just have to put his faith in Neath and the writers. Maybe he wouldn't have too many lines coming up. That would give him time to get used to everything.

He still wasn't looking forward to a new season of RWBY, especially after glancing over some of the scripts, but he would power through Volume Three the best he could. He did this for the fans, after all.

Too bad about Pyrrha, but she would probably still get to hang out around the sets. She was almost like a 'set mom' for her co-stars, bringing breakfast and coffees to the shoots. Getting killed off didn't mean they wouldn't see her just as frequently. Also, RWBY was a show full of magic and craziness, so perhaps she'd get a nice reprise down the road.

Ren tried to shut off his mind and get some more sleep. He worried about this show far too much. Then again, being a star could do that to someone...

((A/N: So there's a piece of fanart somewhere in the universe of Monty Oum encouraging Ren to keep moving forward, so that inspired this. I kind of made it to where the characters played themselves on a TV show... almost like RWBY Chibi. Anyway, thanks for the read!))
