With a sigh, Kirsten Cohen rounded the corner that separated her office from the main hallway. Her blond hair tied back into a loose ponytail and the front of her normally crease-free shirt now wrinkled, it was obvious that Kirsten had just finished a very long day. The high heels strapped to her feet were causing the over-worked woman to wince with every step, and she could not wait to get home to remove the shoes.

"Julie?" Kirsten called as she knocked on the door to her friend's office. She did not think that Julie would still be there; the brunette had a very active social life and was usually the first to leave at the end of the day. Much to Kirsten's surprise, Julie was seated behind her desk and looked almost as tired as the blond who had just entered the room.

"Oh, hey, Kirsten," Julie replied in a monotonic voice. She did not even glance up from her computer screen as she spoke. Her fingers moved quickly across the keyboard, amazing Kirsten with the speed.

Kirsten made her way around Julie's desk. She wanted to see what was so fascinating. Even with Kirsten standing behind her, Julie seemed to be unmoved. "What's that?" Kirsten inquired, her finger moving over Julie's shoulder to gesture to the screen.

Still typing, Julie looked up at Kirsten. "What's what?"

"That. What you're doing."

"It's Livejournal," Julie replied hastily, returning her attention to the task at hand.

Kirsten cocked her head to the side in confusion. Livejournal? What the hell was a Livejournal? And why was her brunette coworker using one?

Noticing Kirsten's confusion, Julie finally removed her hands from the keyboard and spun around in her chair to face her friend. "It's a blog," Julie explained as patiently as possible. "You do know what that is, right?"

Nodding eagerly, Kirsten smiled. "Can I get one?" She asked, resembling a child asking for a new toy.

"I'm not your mother," Julie laughed as she moved from her chair and offered it to Kirsten. "Sit down and I'll walk you through it."

Three hours later

"Julie! Hey, don't leave yet!" Kirsten cried as she ran out of her office. Her heels had been removed, exposing her panty-hose covered feet and her hair was still in that same sloppy ponytail. At the blonde's words, Julie stopped dead in her tracks. She had been in the office three hours longer than she had intended and was eager to go home.

"What now?" Julie sighed. After helping Kirsten create an account, upload userpics, and find a layout, Julie was exhausted.

Kirsten finally caught up to the brunette and gently rubbed one of her tired eyes as she spoke. "What's a meme?"

Raising one brow, Julie took her friend by the crook of the elbow. "Honey, I think you need to go home and sleep for a while. You look really tired."

"No, I'm updating my Livejournal! Just answer my question." Kirsten removed her arm from Julie's grasp and tapped her foot impatiently.

Suppressing both amusement and worry, Julie gave Kirsten her best stern look. "Kirsten, it will be there in the morning. You need to get some sleep."

"Julie…" Kirsten whined. Although reluctant at first, she finally allowed Julie to guide her outside. Her bare feet felt odd upon the pavement, but Kirsten did not try to fight Julie. She knew that her friend was only looking out for her.

Once inside the car, Julie quickly fastened her seatbelt and moved to start the vehicle. Kirsten stopped her before the key was anywhere near the ignition. "Wait," Kirsten held up one hand. "I forgot my purse!"

"Okay, but you'd better hurry up." Julie slouched in her seat as she watched Kirsten exit the car. Perhaps showing the blond the wonders of Livejournal had not been the greatest idea. Oh well, Julie thought with a grin, let Sandy find a way to deal with it.
