"Hey, R?" Julie asks one day as she and R are sitting on the Citi Stadium's tallest building watching the sunset, as they always do.
"Yeah?"
"Have you ever heard of the play Romeo and Juliet?" she asks curiously.
R thinks for a moment. "I might've, but even if I had I probably wouldn't remember."
Julie nods.
"Why do you ask?" R wonders.
"Just thinking about how similar we are to them. Romeo and Juliet, I mean."
"Oh. How are we like them?"
Julie smiles. "Gosh, where do I begin? Okay, let's start with the big one. Your name is R and mine is Julie. Theirs are Romeo and Juliet. In the play, Romeo stands outside Juliet's balcony, kind of like you did when you showed up here."
"Oh. Any differences?"
"Well, first off, Romeo wasn't a zombie," Julie teases, then matter-of-factly states, "And he and Juliet had a tragic ending. Our ending is going to be great."
R grins and looks down bashfully. "Actually, our ending is going to be the best. But let's not spend time thinking about endings. Right now, it's just the beginning."
