Dreams are for real
Running through the dark streets, I frantically searched around, wondering where he could be. Through the dark alleyways, I ran, with the wind blowing in my face and running through my hair, just like he what he used to do years ago.
But all this was the past, and he is no longer around.
Even though I knew very well that he was dead, I did not want to believe in it. My legs carried me, defying all those messaged sent to my brain, telling me that he was already dead. I knew that he was dead, knew it so well that I knew how he died, because.I was the one who killed him. With a single blow, a unintentional one, I had killed him. I had searched for him at all places, and when I had finally located him, I had to kill him, all because of the spell my sister cast, to save me, to protect, but I did not want that. I wanted only to be with him..
Maybe I liked him too much to say, but he too was a stubborn guy. No matter how hard I wanted to hear those words, he would never tell me, for he felt that by playing with me was still the best, even when he was about to die. How I hate that guy, for not saying those words I wanted to hear so much. I had waited so long, wanted to see him for so long, and yet, he has to choose to die, without saying anything, in my hands.
I turned around the bend of the street, and into the bright sunlight. I squinted as I looked afar. Both sides of the path was laid with rows of sakura blossoms, and the sweet smell was unforgettable, just like the last time I came here, with my sister and.him. "Don't you find the sakura blossoms beautiful, Subaru-kun?" he asked softly. I turned around instantly and there he was, standing behind me, ever so quietly, with his eyes fixed on me. "Remember what you saw when you were young, Subaru-kun? Remember the body of the little girl that you saw, the one that made me make that bet with you?" he went on again, as he walked towards the tree where the little girl laid. "This, is the tree of the Sakurazukamori, Subaru-kun. It will be your 'friend' from now onwards." He continued to say, as he turned to face me. For the first time in my life, I could see that he was tired, and that he had enough of things. Using that same pair of hands that killed my sister, he fondled my face and he cupped my chin in his hand. "We'll see each other soon, Subaru-kun, so very soon that you will think you are dreaming."and with that, he slowly faded into the darkness.
"NO!" I awoke with a jolt as I panted heavily. The bedside clock flashed 3am in the morning. I laid back down with a plop, and covered my face with my hands. "It's all just a dream."I told myself, sobbing softly. However.
"Just like I said, we'll meet again.Somehow..Like Now.For dreams are for real, my dear Subaru-kun."
