Center of the Stage

Caitlyn Geller hated Tess for doing this to Mitchie. She hated that Tess had a way of getting under your skin and making you feel insecure about yourself and your own talents. Tess had a way of making you feel like you were worthless and useless just by staring at you.

Tess had done it to Caitlyn the summer before, she was doing it to Ella and Peggy this summer. Caitlyn had allowed Tess to do that to her, Caitlyn knew she was going ot be okay. She hated knowing that Tess had this power above everyone else. And more then that, Caitlyn hated that she was doing it to Mitchie Torres. She wasn't sure if Mitchie had the ability to pull herself up from Tess's grasp.

Mitchie was more then that. She was wild, free and beautiful. She wasn't someone who was supposed to be held back by Tess Tyler. Mitchie was talented and wonderful. Caitlyn hated Tess for doing this to Mitchie. Caitlyn hated sitting back and watching her do it to the first girl that Caitlyn had ever loved.

Mitchie deserved to be the lead, she was the type of girl who deserved to soak up the spotlight. Mitchie was the singer that was supposed to be in the lead. She wasn't a back up singer, she wasn't born to be a back up singer. She was born for more than that.

So, as Caitlyn walked up to Mitchie after she walked off the stage after singing back up to Tess in Too Cool Caitlyn asked Mitchie the question she knew that Mitchie wouldn't have been able to deny.

Caitlyn watched Mitchie's face drop and sh knew she had gotten through to Mitchie. That was when she realized that Mitchie was going to be okay, she would eventually make her way up to the center of the stage, just like Caitlyn had managed.
