I was being my usual bored self at a Sports Meet, so I took out a piece of paper and started on this. It was originally meant to be a poem, but it quickly morphed into a fic instead...heh.

Alright, there is COMPLETE OOC-ness from Shinn here, not to mention that this fic kinda clashes with the anime. If you watched the anime, you'd have seen that he was crying a lot and basically being a lot more emotional. I purposely made him OOC because this fic would have sounded extremely melodramatic had I tried to write like that.

As usual please rxr! It'll be greatly appreciated.

Disclaimer: Buying an animeI don't own it.

Snow.

It's falling everywhere-onto the trees, into the lake. It's covered the whole countryside in a blanket of whiteness. I see all this, but I don't notice.

...It's a cold winter day, all right.

Your face looks so calm and peaceful. As if you were just sleeping…For a moment, it seems to be streaked with tears, but that's just my imagination.

You always reminded me of my sister, y'know that? Mayu...I don't know why. Perhaps it's because both of you, strangely, same had the same smile. A childlike smile of innocence.

Your eyes were so full of life. That was one of the first things I noticed. Those beautiful, maroon eyes…Yes, that's what you were. Beautiful. You loved dancing, didn't you? I saw you dancing that day, and then you fell off the cliff.

You almost drowned me when I tried to rescue you...I remember thinking about what an absolute idiot you were, putting yourself through that kind of danger.

But that was a long time ago, though. And now those eyes are closed, and you'll never smile again.

I suddenly notice that my face is wet, and briefly I wonder why. Gently, I hoist you up, then I eject the Impulse.

I've lowered you slowly into the lake. You float on the surface for a few moments, and slowly, silently, you sink into the dark water, until your face is just a tiny speck. That too, eventually disappears.

I know I'll never see it again.

A/N: I thought this turned out quite crappily, not to mention short...ah well.
